The Villian

I have a reliable source in Michigan Adverture who said that THE Villan is going to be taken down and sent there! In fact they are now clearing a large area for it. The area is on the other side of the water from Shivering Timbers. Come to think of it. thats not a bad place for it. M.A. needs another good coaster, and they have plenty of room for it.

Keep the Villian out of Cedar Point, because CP needs a Flying Coaster and I have been saying this many times. I have never rode a Flying Coaster yet. I am ready too, because CP is the only Park I can really go too.

^ And if you've paid attention to *anything* that had come out of Dick Kinzel's mouth, he's said numerous times that they consider the flying coaster to be an uncomfortable way to ride, and you will NOT be seeing one at Cedar Point any time soon.

I agree with him 100%. I hate flying coasters, and X. I hate them both.

After riding Superman:Ultimate-X-FireFlight at Kings Island, I can say I hope Cedar Point NEVER puts one of these in. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it was disconcerting. During the entire ride it felt like I was going to slide out, and that is not the way I want to feel on a ride.

I see what you are saying about the Flying Coasters. So the next best Coaster would be the 500 ft Coaster between the Dragster and the Millenium Force. Then CP will need a Water Ride like the Mill Race around the WT if they Demoish the Stadium. That would be my best 2 Rides at CP.

I don't know why all you guys dislike the flyers so much. I think they're awesome. Air is the most soothing and "zen-like" coaster I've been on. Tatsu is just breathtaking. The Supermans are ok, but I wouldn't call them uncomfortable at all. Maverick is more "uncomfortable" than a flyer. Plus, I'm pretty sure the general public loves them.

CP does need a woodie on the beach, however not Villian. When has CP ever pulled a six flags anyway guys? I don't see them taking any used rides from other parks and installing them. If they do get a new ride, it should be a 4d from S&S. Never have ridden X but i would imagine it would be quite interesting. Regardless, i would rather see park improvements then a new ride this time.

X is great, I love X... However, that wouldn't really be too responsible of a ride to add to the park.

I`ll say it again The Villan will not be going to C.P. It`s going to Michigans Adventure if anywhere. X and flying coasters are not that good or comfortable ,you probably won`t see any more built. It was a fad and it`s over. When it comes to C.P. think WOOD. Mean Streak will be repaired by GCI and returned to it`s former glory.

Would you quit your whining about Maverick already? I don't see how it's relevant - you're not dangling face down in the Maverick restraints, putting all your weight into your collarbone like the flyers.

Not to mention, I'd much rather be stuck on the brake run of Maverick any day over the 1+ hour I spent in "flying" position on SUF at Great America, and the hour and a half I spent laying on my back on X-Flight before maintenance came and took the train apart to get us all out.

Well, everyone else is whining about flyer restraints, so how is whining about a coaster CP already has not relevant? I'm pretty sure it is in this case. Would you have been less upset if I had compared it to Mean Streak? Sorry I piked on your favorite coaster. LOL!

Although I cannot reveal my source of information, I can tell you this person works very close to Park Operations.

The first sign of BS

Cedar Point is aware of it's lack of land problem for future developments

Interesting, seeing as how there isnt a land problem at all.

The Stadium has been the target of development and a major eye-sore for it's flagship park

Actually, its been used quite well, and the dive show has drawn consistent crowds.

Plus, management has not been pleased with the drop in revenue on this existing midway from the food vendors/games and in-park spending. Renegade will be a big draw into the zone 1 area.

"Zone 1"?

Youre watching X-files re-runs right now, arent you Minerider.

Tim - I had no problems with Maverick restraints. I think I bumped my head once or twice, but not terrible. They are very accommodating, even my wife had no problem with them.

And can someone tell me how Michigan's Adventure managed to get the seatbelts right on their Arrow looper, but Cedar Fairs flagship park can't get them right? I was able to buckle the belt while the restraint was still above my head, and then pull it down into place.

OK, OK, OK- SO IT WAS A KUNNARD!

But, I got your attention, and I started you thinking about the possibilities. Over 3000 hits and 53 replies. Thanks for playing along.

I truely meant no harm in my post. And I especially do not want to see the park close down. I actually enjoy the Villian (and the souvenier black and blue mark I get from the Gerstlauer restraints.) If the park were to close I would like to all major rides saved, moved, or sold to other parks.

Have a nice Day!
