The station is going up!

And I think there's some kind of decorative fence being installed at the exit from the station.

I've been noticing a lot of work in the arched area of the retaining wall. Its already been said that this area will be an open observing area. However, do you think all the work going on in that area could be prep work for some kind of statue?

Hey, I'm new to the site. Does anyone know what that circular concrete structure next to the turnaround up to the lift hill is. I was actually thinking that maybe it was a footer for a new observation tower that Cedar Point did not announce. Then logic came in...

I'm not sure. But the roof of the station is up!

Good question, it could be a lot of things, it could even be left over junk from the building of the coaster, or the crains or something. I will keep on watching for progress. A statue would be nice, like a big bird or something.

Or a giant "Gatekeeper" sign with the ceremonial logo!

I think it's going to be a seating area, and they'll put a tree in the middle.

I was thinking something more along the lines of a decorative sign. Sounds like that'll be right where the queue entrance is. Would make sense.

I wouldn't think site work for a seating area would have started just yet. Would imagine it's something kinda prominent.

Also wondering where there roof frames that are laying there are going?

Station building talk is so exciting, I think i'll be going outside to watch the snow melt instead.

Why do that when you can watch it melt on the webcams? :)

Te be honest, I haven't looked at a webcam since before Christmas. Pictures that have been posted I have looked at.

I'm not sure. But maybe it is a foundation for a fountain!

This is a little off topic but... What is Cedar Point going to do with the sand they dug up to build Gatekeeper? I see them piling up some of it on the beach close to the shoreline. Are they going to just make the beach longer?

They'll probably just spread it across the beach and then grate it.

I believe that is the mechanism that installs the chain. B&M doesn't have a single car do pull throughs.

I was wondering what that was. I would love to see how it installs the chain.

Here's a good picture of Leviathan's chain being assembled. I don't know the exact process but you can get a good idea of how it's done.
