The station is going up!

This isn't technically about the station but it's close. The large sunshades-pavilion on the new "Gatekeeper plaza" are up. The beach cam is shut down but you can see it if you look closely through the Gatekeeper Construction Cam A.K.A: Parking Lot Cam

Also, (Although off topic) the Pagoda cam is back.

A question was just asked on facebook-
"Can we carry bags through the line for gatekeeper? I know of ttd and force you cannot"

Reply- from Cedar Point

You cannot on GateKeeper.

Yes, I was thrilled to learn that they'll be enforcing the same rules as Millennium Force. No crap in lines!

That is excellent! Raptor's exit always reminds me of Black Friday at WalMart.

That should make for much smoother station operations and a much shorter interval!

Awesome, so that makes the bins simply for stuff like flip flops or glasses! That'll make things much smoother.

Thnx for the confirmation Jeff. I figured when I saw the new locker setup on the POV, we were gonna get our wish on this subject.

Thank god. Apparently they learned something from wading through the mess that is Wild Eagle's loading platform, which, if you have not been, rivals Magnum on a bad day.

Promoter of fog.

Thank You Cedar Point! I rarely post but I always am always reading on this site, and having lockers outside of the ride will greatly improve interval timing! Wonderful!

That's absolutely fantastic news! Certainly the right call.

In videos of Gatekeeper's station I see people just leaving their bags right by the train for them to pick up after they get off. I know that was media day but do you guys think that the park employees will permit people to put their bags near the train during the normal summer season?

This should answer that

After looking at everyones pictures of the queue line and station I was thinking the queue line looks pretty bare and some sections could be brutal with no shade. Anyone think they will add coke machines and more trees or shade structures?

I was thinking that. This entire project is absolutely amazing. My only complaint is the station is too boring and the queue has pretty much nothing. The walls could have some kind of posters on them or atleast get some fans with mist. The queue to the right looks like its just going to be HOT this summer. Hopefully this changes :)

I hope they have station music for the ride as well!

I think with the breeze that comes off the lake even on hot day and Gatekeepers queue being right on the beach it should not be too bad. The part of WT queue that is next to the lake is actually quite pleasant even on hot days. Now Halloweekends will be a whole different story lol!!!

The green train from Millennium landed under Magnum and that is what is causing Magnum to sink!!!

Yeah... you never know. I remember opening weekend from Top Thrill Dragster... Only some of the shade structures were in place. I have a feeling they will add some more or plant some trees. And those misting fans would help too. If anyone has any better queue pics I would love to see them.

There was some posted on the live feed yesterday if you look there.

I took a couple shots of them as well yesterday. Not sure how I can post it on here because I haven't uploaded them to Flickr yet. I will after this weekend. :)
