The sprint to Top Thrill Dragster

I bet CP will install spead bumps and spike strips. They'll also have those "You are going this fast, and this is the speed limit' signs with cops on Segways waiting near by to stop people from running.

I believe that the Power Tower or Corkscrew line is closest to TTD entrance. At least that's what it looks like to me. As for the lines. I think TTD will have a longer line than MF this year, only because TTD is the new "BIG" kid on the block. They will both have long lines though. They'll probably do the same thing they've been doing to try to keep lines down. They'll probably stamp hands (or something better I hope) to guarentee a ride during a certain hour of the day.
I went Cedar Point to two times.

First time was in 2000 when MF opened and that had the the tickets with the time of you ridee that means you whould show up around that time to ride the ride.

Second time, I was there was in 2001.

I think, Top Thrill Dragster will use what MF used when it opended

The Magum/Soak City Enternce is the closet to the new ride. If stay at Hotel Breakers there are two enterce there is one by Wicked Twister then the Magum\Soak City Enternce.

CPFan... no tickets will be used. They killed that system back in 2000. I imagine that they'll be giving out Freeway stamps, however.

Yes, it will be freeway stamps used. I heard it will be used on all the big rides. TTD, MF, WT, Raptor, Magnum & Mantis. This should cut down on wait time. Here's the info about it. For more info. check out the interview with Janice Witherow at www.virtualmidway.com

Will FreeWay be implemented on Top Thrill Dragster?

Yes. We implemented our FreeWay system last season, and it proved to be very popular and successful. We initially started the 2002 season with the FreeWay system on Millennium Force and Wicked Twister and later added Raptor. In 2003, we will not only add the new Top Thrill Dragster, but also Magnum XL-200 and Mantis to the FreeWay offerings.

Cedar Point recognizes the importance of addressing the issue of "line management," and we have explored several high-tech systems over the past few years; however, we feel we have finally come up with a low-tech approach that meets our two most important criteria: it is simple, and it is FREE of charge. We've done a tremendous amount of research on this topic, and our guests responded very favorable to the FreeWay system last season. Ride capacity is very important to Cedar Point, and our Park Operations team works extremely hard to effectively and efficiently move our guests through the queue lines.

hey whats that freeway thingy
enlighten me aye..
It's like a fastpass. You get your hand stamped for a certain time and then you come back and board immediately.

Hrm.. is there some information on it, you know.. that wasn't specific..
Look here on the CP website for freeway info.
thanks a lot d0n.
it says only one stamp a day.. is that one stamp on every ride or ONLY one stamp in general
I think it's one per ride, I'm not 100% sure though.
