Are we talking about the Main Midway Carousel...and does anyone have any pictures of the restoration work?
As for SRF...I think it's a very nice change. The darker color gives the ride a more rustic back-wood feel, which will go well with Shoot the Rapids.
During the 2008 season, we were not able to use trains to practice because we didn't have our certification until the morning of opening day. Even then, the blue train still was not certified and the purple train sat on the transfer track for most of the season. This seems to be an ongoing problem. I don't understand how it's so hard to maybe get ahead one year and actually have all the rides certified for training week.

^Because more maintenance employees are not added as more rides are added. I bet the amount of full time employees in Maintenance is the same, or even less than it was when Millennium Force was built. More work for less people to do in a short amount of time. That is just one of many reasons though that I am sure comes into play.
What are all of the rides in years passed that were not cleared for certification by park opening? Dragster last year, Trains in '08. Are there any other instances?
