The Mysterious, possible footers

Did anyone stop to think that since they were already working in the area (taking out the Dodgems) that they figured they might as well get a head start on 2003?

I'm not going to even try to guess what is going in there, but I am surprised at how big the area is. Everyone has had some interesting ideas and some are even plausible, but we have to remember that CP will build what is best for the park, not for us obsessed freaks.

Besides, everyone knows that it's the location of the Lemon Chill stand that really matters ;)

You know what the footers look like to me? I think they look similar to a position of a skycoaster. Looking at the pics, that is the first thing i thought of- Skycoaster... Who has seen the one in Orlando running? It's Crazy! I doubt it though, because of course, CP allready has a Skycoaster! I would like to see a fungee go in. Didn't they state that when they removed Vertigo that they still have a good relationship with the company (S&S)and would be looking forward to new rides with them??? what was that quote, or am i just remembering that wrong. Oh well... We'll Just have to wait and see.

Just another thing to ponder. B&M's have large round supports with many bolt holes. Hmmm...

I'm putting my guess in right now for an Intamin Launched sit-down, a bigger cousin to Xcelerator. And the footers we see now, are that of an inverted turn, similar to the one on xcelerator.
Thats my 2 cents!

Uh-oh Tim. Don't start the "Three B&M Contract" rumor again lol

I too was suprised by the actual area of the footers when I saw those pictures. I thought it was a little nine foot area or something fenced off. Looks pretty big to me...

Maybe they're bringing back the monorail! :) Now that would be fun. I'm going to the point the 15 so I will have some more information that night or the next day as to what the footers are for. Could B&M and Intamin have gotten back together and are now working on a joint project?

Won't it be funny when it ends up being a huge umbrella for shade?

My God... all footers look the same! There is absolutely zero data that indicates it's anything bigger than a lamp post!

You know, others are going far fetched so let's continue going beyond the actual;

Heide Park did sell the design for the 412' high Intiman...

Back to reality, a spinning restaurant on top of a tower does sound like a tangible idea...

Red Garter Rob said "Maybe a world record setting lamppost Jeff???"

lol at that,

on the other hand, it may not be a ride at all, and i think thats what the problem is, it could be just a area to sit down at, i don't think there there will be some record setting ride anyhow, it would up set the peacefulness of Camp Snoopy

I remember reading AB magazine back in Sept. 95 when Banshee was announced. CP had to get a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers, so they could re-work the lagoon over the next 10 or 12 years. Does that have anything to do with this? God only knows.

Wouldn't it just be easier to build a swingset if they wanted that?

It's something that will compliment Maggy & Dan. A restaurant, a ride, whatever. My gut tells me so! It will not be a major ad. For the GP.
