The Millennium Force Logo

Air gates don't stop the yellow line spiel because there is still yellow line behind the gates, where the guests stand. Why they didn't move the line to just beyond the gates is beyond me.

Mozilla may have taken two years to reach v1.0, but it is more stable and secure than IE will ever be.

ANYWAY- I scanned the logo from my onride pic of MF. Used it for a tint logo on the back of my Jeep. Looks sweet, pics to come when the rest of the Jeep is redone. Stay tuned.

But then again, what do I know?

I think they should've made the queue like Millennium Force, that way the station isn't so crowded. I swear when the lines are long it's hard to figure out exactly where your standing because your pretty much squeezed in by everyone.

So if every ride is going to be ASTM compliant, we're probably going to see auto-spiels as well. Correct this list if it's wrong, but doesn't Dragster, Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, Magnum, Corkscrew, and Iron Dragon all have auto-spiels? I'm still wondering if we'll see auto-spiels on Jr. Gemini and Woodstock.
As of sometime last June Jr. Gemini had autospiels.

Another spiel that replaced the do not stand on the yellow line, was Do not shake the gates.

Something that I think it's very important that us employees (especially on coasters with auto-spiels) work on for this season is our use of the station mic. Without the ability to spiel, the only time we use the thing is when we're yelling at people to not shake the gates, not sit on the handrails, etc. We no longer have the spiels to come across in a positive way and because of that, I felt that employees were being perceived more negatively.

What I'm saying is that we have to be friendly in our tone of voice when using the station mic. If someone is sitting on your handrails, announce it once, or better yet not at all. People out on the platform need to be aware of these things and after one announcement, they can go up to the individual guest that is doing something wrong. The 200 people on the platform do not want to hear the person in controls yapping constantly because one guest is sitting on the handrails or something. Say it once and if they don't obey, let the people out on the platform handle it with just that one guest.

While on the topic of the station mic, somebody really needs to tell some of the folks on a few of the rides perhaps not to have the mic so close to their mouth or maybe to turn down the volume just a bit. While waiting in the station for a particular coaster, it's a great thing to get the crowd all excited by talking to the returning trains and all but it gets to the point of headache material when it's too loud. (yeah yeah, I know I'm crabbin'...just hate super loud things like that in my ear) :)
