The Lighting on the tower

One cool feature that I love is the fact that if you notice in the computer generated image with MF in the backround you see that there are lights on the tower attached to the catwalks. The cool thing about the lights is they are going to be the same yellow yelloe yellow yellow green that goes with the launch and the lights will be in sync with the launch so at night anytime you look at the tower you will know when a train will be launched.

All I can say is WOW!

One thing I myself hope for out of this ride is that it will have enough lighting to be seen. In my opinion, WT is kinda of dark and wasnt lit up that well. Im hoping that changes for TTD. Everything else I can say is just wow.

I'm almost hoping that there will be nothing lighting up the tower except for the countdown lights. That would be soo awesome at night, staring ahead and just seeing the countdown lights sequentially switch on, almost like a dream. Of course, I'm sure they will have something lighting up the whole tower because it is such a critical part of the new skyline.

Hey Majin,

Maybe they could light it like Raptor's cobra roll. Where there is light on it but when a train comes it dims out and then strobes as the train passes through.

I'm worried... the lights aren't on the tower yet, right? And they're not on any of the Cedar Point sketches. Perhaps they were removed from the design because of FAA regulation conflicts or something. I hope not, because I think it's an awesome idea, but... I'm worried.

Which picture are you talking about? I've looked at pretty much the whole site and all of the pictures I have seen don't have any lights on the tower.

Media Kit, usually comprised of the press release you can find on the cp site, the computer generated/artist conception photos, the stats, and a computer generated video.

I think this individual was pulling your chain. As far as I know, only people who actually work for the media (have documentation, credentials, etc.) can get them. It's not a "fan club" thing with prizes and stuff like described above, but something newspeople can use to report on new developments. You can find details on the Cedar Point web site. Walt or Jeff, correct me if I'm wrong.
