The Grandstands...

Technically, couldn't anyone throw anything at any of the rides? For example: The Corkscrew's corkscrew is right over the midway where everyone walks, and anyone could easly throw something straight up in the air and hitting one of the passengers of the ride in the face while they are upside down. But of couse, that's not nearly as painfull as being hit with something while excelerating to 120 miles per hour in 4 seconds...
It's illegal to throw anything from any amusment ride. I believe in ohio there is a law about pollowing posted rules too.

Yes, it'll hurt if you get hit by something, especially something large like a cell phone or an camera. Ther rode hosts for TTD will require everyone to secure all loose items.

If you do throw something from TTD and you do hit someone injuring them, there is a good chance that security will be waiting for you at the exit. There are ways of finding out who did it also.

The way the ride area is designed, an item that you loose has a very small chance of hitting someone. you'd literally have to throw it for it to get far enough to injure someone.

There are a lot of idiots out there, in the vast majority of cases, nobody will get hit by anything.

if ya look at the corkscrew track every now and then, youll see some stuffed animals and junk people have thrown up there...

First off, it would be very hard to hit some one with something from TTD because they probably wouldn't let you take it on with you. If you somehow bring it with you on TTD, it would be extremly hard to throw it and hit smeone because of the force of the launch.

Second, I think they will have a lot of security guards in "Dragster Plaza" so they will see if anyone throws something at TTD.

Actually, i wasn't trying to say anything about someone throwing something at the people on the ride, i was just saying that with the train going by so fast that some people might hurt their neck watching it wizz past them. But i know it probobly won't happen as people are fine watching real drag races or other things, it was meant to be a cheesy joke, but i guess no one found it funny.

I bet those Grandstands will get pretty hot, though. Hopefully they will plant some trees around there for some shade.

Aww.....Florida! But That's America's Wang

They will reflect more sunlight than they absorb so I don't think that would be a problem. Some shade would be nice for blocking direct sunlight though...

The grandstands will also get very sticky from all the gum that is forsure going to be left on the stands.

If the grandstands get sticky or dirty. Then the park will get dirty. They are going to clean up the grandstands the way they clean the rest of the park. CP is a very clean park and the grandstands will be just as clean.

I think they should put some of those Mist fans to spray on them to keep the people cool. It would be a great place to just come and relax in the cool mist.

About the grand stands, I bet they won't be the "open bottom" style bleachers, they'll be covered. I think this because for one, it's not too hard for a little toddler climbing around to possibly get hurt by stepping into a gap, but also it would prevent this build up of garbage underneath the grandstands.

Enjoy your ride on the big bad bug

To answer a question asked a few replys ago zone 5 is located in the front of the park from the admissions/ticket takers booths to the space spiral. zone 1 is from the space spiral to before peanuts playground, zone 2 is from peanuts playground to millennium force and power tower zone 3 is from super himalaya to magnum and zone 4 is from past magnum to the back of the park.

forgive me if this has been asked before...

i think for the people who dont like rollercoasters...they can buy shirts that say "I was in the grandstands by TTD".....this way everyone is accountable for and CP can get richerer.
richerer? hmmm, yer shirt idea is right up there with "i rode disater transport for the AC"

umm, about the grandstands holding 300-400 people, i don't think it will come even close to that. Just by judging off of what i see on the site and webcams, i'm going to guess 100 max. If anyone works at CP and has a better guesstimate (my own word) to how many people it will hold that would be great.

guesstimate does happen to be a word...
