The Gemini 100 Webpage

How about getting a non-rider volunteer to be by the exit/entrance with a clipboard for the tallies, and they can watch various non-riding items too? That would save a lot of time as people came off the coaster, you run around and mark your sheet, run back on!

I wish I could be there - I'll be riding with you in spirit! :)

With the amount of people so far a non-rider counter may not be able to remember all the new faces and keep track, especially when a large group passes through the turnstile. Also there might be problems if we can't find a willing counter. Perhaps we can have a board with every ones name on in, and under each name have papers attached to each other (like post it notes) numbered 1-100. Each time we pass through the gate, take one of the papers and display our new count. Of course then throw it away one of Cedar Points gazillion garbage Cans. It may be better than fumbling around with a pen. Just an Idea.

Good luck Gemini riders. I would love to be there, but unfortunately I have school related matters that final week. (*cough* FINALS *cough*)

Perhaps someone's GF or Spouse could be a Tally Counter and schedule breaks for us. Maybe I can talk the wife into it Dan? Others keep that in mind too.

I, personally, was planning on buying one of those little clicker deals that keep track of numbers, like an umpire has, and using that. I want to use that so I can waste no time in getting off the ride and getting back on. I mean, since it was my idea, I certainly don't plan on cheating. I want to do every thing I can to get my 100 as fast as possible.

And don't worry about bathroom breaks and stuff. When you need to go, just go. We aren't going to schedule breaks. It's everyone for themselves.
And you DO need to eat and drink while we do it. We don't want any fatalities during the attempt. We also need shirt ideas. Anyone who has any ideas, don't hold back. We need logos, colors, designs...anything! Especially if it's cheap, because I'm poor.

Perhaps this could do for a design? (this is on dan's site, too).

I found a place for t shirts for about 15 dollars each. If you want I could design and order the t shirts.

I think the Logo that Dan has on his page would look awesome on a shirt. it has everything. Gemini 100 and the date......maybe if you put Cedar point on there somewhere. that would rock!!! I am so hoping that i can make it. it sounds awesome

Shoewee, I was thinking the same thing about putting the logo on the shirt. I don't think it is a good idea to put Cedar Point anywhere on the shirt because of copyright notices...

How about getting everyone's name that is signed up to participate listed on the back? Might be a nice reminder, and physical proof that you did it!

Hey,

E-mail dan with any other new riders for a while. My computer crashed and I've been without the internet for 4 days and probably a little longer. I'm using my dad's laptop at the moment. I hope all of you who are signing up will be able to make it. We're getting quite a list. See you soon, hopefully.
