Your totally right, they have built four B&M's at OTHER parks since, none at Cedar Point... Seriously Jeff, you really need to realize theres a lot you don't know about seasonals and their relationships with people in management.
Here's a newsflash... parks order rides. Manufacturers don't decide to build where ever they want. It's not the other way around.
Intamin has built the last three coasters because they were cheaper and willing to experiment with technology. It's not any more complicated than that.
And you have absolutely no clue about my relationships in this industry. No clue at all.

I'll choose Arrow-S&S, and B&M. Intamin rides killing people gives me a chill down my back. For example, look at MF's lift hill. It doesn't have the hand rails on the catwalk except for the top part. If the train gets stuck at 200 ft in the air, and it has to be evacuated, it will be harder because it doesn't have the handrails. Goliath at SFMM has the handrails on it's catwalk, and Magnum XL-200 has the handrails. Why doesn't MF?
Because you don't get off onto stairs, the little basket slides up the track and you get into that.

What if you keep talking? Our IQs go down!
Mf hasnt had to take people out of the train to many times. And that is becuase it doesnt break down all that often. A lot less than MANY SF rides.
And im sure theres a back up-back up plan. There always is.

^...and maybe is B&M reliable........ok yeah im asking for too much! heheYeah, Intamin does have a lot of downtime, but Dragster is doing a lot better than it was in the previous years. Plus, Kingda Ka is doing great, besides the major breakdown. Not bad for only the second one in the world.
By the way, B&Ms break down from time to time at Cedar Point too. I remember being stuck, standing up, for 30 minutes on Mantis. Raptor breaks down periodically too.
LOL... you call a ride being down for 2+ months "doing great"? KK would have mutilated it's riders if there were people on board. KK is the second generation and yet it had more problems then the first and is a worse ride overall then the first.
You must be one of those kids that only reads a part of a post then runs there mouth not knowing what the post actually meant.
If you look very, very closely and focus hard you will notice I said: "besides the major breakdown."

like.. the constant reports of people waiting in line for several hours because they've endured countless 10-15 minute stoppages, JUST like TTD was having in its past season(s).
Once again:
"Kingda Ka is doing great, besides the major breakdown. Not bad for only the "SECOND" one in the world."
Do expect machines to run perfectly? Right... ;)
Ok the first Major break down or the second lets remember both Strata Coasters were not open at the end of the year. And Kingda Ka is not the second in the world. Remember there are other rocket coasters on this planet, 5 other rocket coasters where in operation before KK.
