the freeway

Hi is correct about the placement of the stamps. Hey -- if you take advantage of FreeWay, and go in and out of Cedar Point AND Soak City in the same day, you could leave the park with a stamp on top of each hand and on both wrists! (Soak City readmission stamps are on the inside of the left wrist).

Two freeway stamps? HOORAY

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE
uhm....
TWO freeway stamps a day... TWO

Thanks for the info, I kinda figured that's how it was done, but good to know before I go this year :)

Friend 1 to me: What is with you and Cedar Point? You're obsessed.
Friend 2 to her: You have no idea.

Speaking of stamps, I have a new-seasonpassholder-question.

I assume that if I enter with a season pass, I still need to get my wrist stamped for same-day re-entry. In other words: my pass won't get me in the gate twice. Correct?

That's right, Brian.

It's actually a recent policy. Up until a couple of years ago, season pass holders didn't need to get a hand stamp for re-admission. But that isn't the case now.

aaahhhh yes i remember getting stamped...it was toward the beginning when they first introduced them (when they weren't so popular i guess) and when i started cutting up through most of the line i got some pretty dirty looks ;) i thought for sure i was dead meat.

The new policy isn't so surprising, depending on the quality of the pictures on the passes. I'd bet 10% of the population could pass for me given the "picture" on my SFMW pass this year. If you squint you can tell it's a person. :)
Thats so much better than having to show your pass for re-entry. You can just put your pass away somewhere once you're in the park and forget about it. Stamping is alot better. But with 2 Freeways now and re-entry stamps. I'm going to come out of the park all stamped up.

Yup.

Dennis -- Free souvenirs you can take home, eh? You would be surprised how many people beg to be stamped...and not just on their wrists. There's always the group of Mountain Dew-charged teenage boys that want a stamp right across their foreheads as they're heading out to the bus parking lot for the ride home; unfortunately, we can't oblige them. ^_^

Gemini (Walt) is correct; season passes can only be scanned once per day (Combos twice, once in CP and once in Soak City). Even if you have a pass, you need to get a stamp before you leave the park.

And just to clarify two popular misconceptions, Soak City stamps will not get you into Cedar Point and vice versa, and you can't get into CP for free with the stamp you have from the day before. It won't work; people ask about this all the time.

Wait a minute Lisa! Are you saying that if I get a stamp and don't bathe and come back the next day the stamp won't work? This is just insane.

And of course the friend they're with nudges them and says knowingly, "It says, 'Cedar Point'!" ^_~ *snicker* I don't know how many times I've heard that one...

are the re-entrance stamps color coded so you cant use it the following day??

There are a variety of ways Park Admissions employees can tell if a stamp is valid or not. Let's just say, we'll know for sure if a person tries to get in on the wrong day. ^_^

I was wrong last summer when 2 of my kids and i licked the ink off of the invalidation stamp and rode the Millie 3 times in an hour. I wont do it again, altho it may do well to get better ink. I dont think the stamper cared as he said hello to us all three times. I am sorry I was simply wrong and very, very drunk(.30!!!)
I've only gotten one freeway stamp and everyone seemed pretty cool about it. Although one time my parents and me got chewed out M.F. when my mom used her special access pass.

Question about Freeway:

Are stamps given out starting at 10, 9:30 (when the rides open), 9 (JCC and resorts) or later. Mr. Magnum and I need to know so we can plan out 2003 SCPP!

I thought tickets didn't start until 11:00 to give everyone a free chance. Or maybe that was when MF ran out? Can anyone correct me here?

Yeah, he meant that the stamps were gone by 11 am. Maybe the went really quick or they started handing them out a little sooner than 11.
