the freeway

well, i noticed that if someone wanted to, they could wash off the freeway after the ride and if in time, get a new one. Everybody tell your story about this if you did this or waht you did for freeway, and if someone knows, what will cedar point be doing this year, is it the same stamp hand format?

also, will there be freeway for TTD?

Yes TTD will have a freeway pass, and Freeway passes go quickly.

Besides the great rides and being the best of everything, the best part about Cedar Point is that it isn't Six Flags! YAY!

On a post a few months ago, I told how I went about getting three stamps one day and caught hell from other people on here. One stamp a day, ONE. I promised to follow the rules this year.

I think I read somewhere that there will be a freeway system. I don't know why there wouldn't be.

Even if you could get your freeway stamp, ride and get another one, they will probably all be gone by the time you got to your second choice.

Last summer they only gave out 150 stamps / hour and that was it. MF was usually gone by 11:00 am or so.

Being a "stamp giver" for the freeway, I wonder if guests will be able to receive more than one stamp this year with the addition of new rides to the freeway system?

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

I really think they should allow two stamps per day. Maybe I'm just being greedy, but it seems like it would please a lot more people. Of course, it wouldn't help the problem of quickly running out of stamps in the morning.

1) People shouldn't be washing off the stamps and getting new ones. That is clearly agianst the rules. I have seen people do it.

2) Not everyone has this website to clarify the rules. So if someone gets more than one stamp a day its not their fault: they didnt know. Its up to the park to say what they policy is, not for the public to vist GTTP and ask.

Since it's now on the official site http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/trips/tips.cfm I suppose I am allowed to clarify this. Two stamps are allowed for FreeWay this summer, one for each hand. You can check out the details by clicking on the link above and scrolling down to the section on "FreeWay."

Notice it says Dragster and MF can only be obtained once. I guess that means that if you wanted to, you could get two stamps for the same ride on Raptor, Mantis, WT, or Magnum. That's a pretty sweet deal. I was worried about actually having to wait in line this year. Last year, I always knew when I could find each ride at a near walk on, and got a stamp for MF. Now I can get stamps for MF and Dragster, and not worry about lines.

Right. Better to have some rides for two stamps, than to have none at all.

This is some really good news. Getting two FreeWay stamps will be just as nice as it was back in early 2002 when they were still experimenting with it. Except this time Dragster is in the mix. :)

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Its great that theyll be leting people get two freeway stamps. I loved getting freeway on WT last year, this year i can do it twice!!:)!!

"Will you sprinkle my fries?"

Here's a question that just popped in my head... you know how they stamp your hand when you leave and want to come back in? What do they do now?

Friend 1 to me: What is with you and Cedar Point? You're obsessed.
Friend 2 to her: You have no idea.

When I went to the point last season, they put the stamp to let me back in, on the underside of my arm near my wrist. Maybe that is what they are going to do again.
Its gonna be on your forearm/wrist. Usually its on your right forearm. And like wingnut said it is the underside of your arm.

I take it you don't understand freeway stamping then?(if you do DisastorTarnsport, just ignore me) early in the day there are booths near the major coasters where they give a stamp with a time period on it, you come back sometime during that hour, and get in the freeway line which is like less than five minutes long compared to an hour or more in the regular line...
