The few areas that need to be worked on.

Okay, has anyone noticed that all the childrens area do not look all that welcoming to children.  After you visit Six Flags and Kings Island all of Cedar Points kids area are just, boring.

Kiddy Kingdom, need I say more about this one.  All of the trees are choking in cement and the cement around it, is all cracked.  They have six of the same ride. Difrent names (Hot Rods, Mustangs, Dune Bugys, Old Timers, Motocycles, Police Cars) same ride.  It needs a new theme.  Get rid of the ghetto plastic animals, put in more planters, and a more viraty of rides.

Peanuts Playground.  Remeber the bears?  At least this area was interesting when they had them.  It acually looked inviting.   Now it's a forgotton land.  It's called Peanuts playground for a reason.  Sure it has the ball pit and Lucys both, but I didn't see a single Peanut roaming the area.

Gemini Childrens Area:  Another area that needs themeing.  Go with the outer space theme that they sort of had for Jr. Before they took out the so-high guys out.  Bumper Boats have to go.  Those poor employees.  You think that the employers of the park would care about them.  Especally in october.

Camp Snoopy.  Needs more theming like Knott's Camp Snoopy.  CP's Camp Snoopy looked pretty good during Halloweekends,  other than that, it dosn't realy look like a place where Snoopy would like to hang out.

I agree.  None of these areas are very inviting to children.  Kiddy Kingdon and the Peanuts Playground looked like a wasteland this summer, and the few kids I saw there didn't look like they were having any fun.  Of course, when I was little, I never went on any of the kiddy rides.  I was tall enough to ride the coasters since my first trip to the point when I was four in 1989 (and yes, I did ride the Magnum that year).  But I think these areas need to be inviting to children who can't, or simply don't want to ride anything else.

"Mean Streak would be better if they replaced the square wheels with round ones."
I think the Frontier Trail needs more of it's Frontier back.  I'm also beginning to think that some places in Frontier town are losing what makes it look Frontier like, especially the midway leading up to the Frontier town Depot and Mean Streak.
I was sorry that the main midway fountains got left behind.  Cedar Point has one of the best main midways in the country and they could highlight it with so many different things.  Fountains would give it a "cooling" effect that would be welcome.
Clean up the Mantis area.

Theme more of Disaster Transport better.

Make Magnum's station handle more people so it's not all crowded.

ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY HERE AT CEDAR POINT...AMERICA'S ROCKIN ROLLER COAST. *CLEAR*

What do you mean "the few kids I saw"? When did you go? Every time I was there, the place was packed with kids! I will agree though, that they dident look happy.
I have to agree.  The Kiddy Kingdom was cool when I was 4 or 5 - but that was in 1968.  It essentially hasn't changed since then.  They have still the exact same rides - those are now 3rd rate carnival rides.  The plastic animals were impressive then, but humdrum by today's standards.  It's long past time for a facelift.  I know that my own 6 year old is not nearly as thrilled now as I was back then by the kiddy parts of the park.

I think so too. I remember being there in '92 or '93, and I was four or five. After riding a few rides, I wanted to go to another area of the park. But at least, I liked the Mustangs. Also, more trees need to be put in Frontiertown. That would make it so much more "woodsy".
i would like to see a better theater, and shows like they used to have at kings island.

i agree with the comments about the kiddie rides,my grandson was not impressed, but he did love the baby coaster.

I think Camp Snoopy is wonderful for the kids, but I agree that the other kids area's need some work. In fact, get ride of Peanut's Playground all together. It takes up a lot of land for further development.

I think Frontier Town and Trail could use some updated buildings with fresh color.

Hey Here's a "Wild" Idea.....THEMES! *gasp*...I forgot that it's a forbidden word to cp...sorry :)

Wheres the Electricity!

Well, if Frontier Trail gets some new rides, then there will no longer be Frontier Trail. There is a sign by the bridge between Snake River and the Swan Boats that explains the Trails as being a place for craftsmen and the like. Unless you mean Frontiertown?

I worked In Camp Snoopy For Two Seasons And I Can Tell You Why A Lot Of The Kids Were Not Happy Is Becouse The Parents Force Them To Go On Rides They Absolutley Do Not Want To Go On.But There Are More Happy Kids Than There Are Unhappy.
thats kinda what i ment Fronter Town but maybe a few flat rides in Frontier Trail??

I really enjoy camp snoopy... it seems very inviting/inticing for the wee-thrillseekers.

The only areas I could think of are Kiddy Kingdom and Mantis's queline.  Both just need to be "spruced" up.. and well KK you can just take out, but that's just me.  The Mantis que just looks faded.  Maybe when the paint the ride this year they'll get new shade covers to make it look brighter.

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?"

I realize the coaster crowd is the ones with the money and every inch that can be a coaster is considered wasted by anything else, BUT.. I have had many , many small ones to the Park over the years and the best memories were by far at what was then Bear Country. It did help that the charecters were familiar from the many books here at home and visits there were like stepping into a favorite book to visit with friends..but it was so much more that a sit and spin....there were THINGS to DO..my charges raced to see how much they had grown, challenged each other on swings and above all loved to spend HOURS crawling in and over the dino bones. My younger son spent the whole summer trying to excavate the rest of the dino!!! These were kids who HAD to be there,,,and this unique playground made the days fun and educational! WIth a Jr. generation that sits in front of screens all day, we are loosing something special when we continue to obliterate chances like these. CP is proving it can squeeze coasters in just about anywhere--I just hope they will also prove that someone there does understnad and care about the future riders and give them some good memories to make them want to come back to ride all those big coasters.
The problem with Camp Snoopy that I see is that it is not shady enough.  Everyone gets hot & irritable in there.  I know I do (esp. when I'd rather be off riding coasters...)

Minor things to fix/work on:
1 - Parking Lot - have cool names for different sections. My kids still remember that last year at Disney we parked in the "Pluto" section. Why not have coaster sections in the parking lot?

2 - Add trivia info plaques to the queue areas. Could be trivia about the coaster you're in line for - or anything for that matter.

3 - I have to agree with the need for improved kids area. With a 7 year old who loves coasters, (and thank God is tall enough) and a 4 year old who isn't tall enough for anything - the 4 year old gets bored at CP. After the first trip of the season the only things he really cares about is Woodstock Express and the Frog Hopper. It would be much easier on my husband (a non-addict) and I if the 4 year old would have more to do. And I agree with Harley - Camp Snoopy needs more shade.
