The end of the Cedar Point season is near!

Dont talk about closing, as i havent made it over yet.. Still 2 weekends time, and i will be flying 4500 miles to visit CP.  :-) yippeee

So why do most of your parks up there close so early in season? As our parks here in UK open till end of october, some middle of november..! And lets face it our English weather is not too favourable in autumn (fall) or winter.

Just curious, And see ya all in 2 weeks and a bit, Look out for the Brit.......

LeeUK, Cp is one of the earliest closing parks and latest opening.  Other parks such as Six Flags Magic Mountain in California have very short offseasons.

The sooner Cedar Point closes, the closer it is to ski season. That's MY time. :-) Although it is sad to see it close.

One of the biggest factors is also the lack of employees and guests since most of them go back to school. Turning a profit is somewhat hard when the crowd amusement parks target still go to school. (teens to mid twenties).
The last day last season was sad. I remember waiting in line for MF and watching the leaves falling near the final straightaway.....sniff....sniff....I'll see it again this year, though......and besides, they have to close so they can put the new coaster in, with Magic Mountain biting at their heels for the most coasters at one park record.....I vote for a screamin' sit down giga-looper.....Son Of Corkscrew...lol
