CP Bound, I have C.P.'s brochure from 1985, the year Avalanche Run opened. In it, C.P.says: "New this summer: Avalanche Run Bobsleds" followed by: "Challenge Avalanche Run, the Midwest's only summertime bobsled run". They made no mention of this new attraction being a roller coaster at that time. They had 5 coasters at that time and they weren't counting A.R. as their 6th.
...that's odd, I'll go check mine. I don't see why they didn't, because other parks have bobsleds and they count them as coasters...
