It's a shame that it's gone. They had some really good updates on there. But I have noticed in the past few months, the lack of updates. I had a feeling that the blog was in trouble.
They seemed to be posting more on facebook, than on the blog.
Oh well, I hope they can bring the blog back some day.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Aw I miss the blog! The Cedar Point page seems empty without it =(
Much less reason to visit CP's website very often. Blogs such as On Point and personalities like Tony really get the public to connect with the park and give it a more human feel than just a faceless corporation. I'm really surprised the park isn't keeping the blog and that they didn't announce some type of transition to a person who will take over. Plus, I believe Tony did a lot of video work for the electronic entrance sign and other video played in the park. Tony was the perfect spokesman for CP as he was positioned to really make the park personal and friendly to a lot of people. That type of great PR takes while to create and I can't believe CP is just walking away from that.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Bring back the blog!
I wish that I could at least scan through the old blog posts. I liked, during the offseason, to go through and look at what the park was doing at the same date the year or two (or three/four/five) before that.
I sure hope we aren't losing the PointCasts and more POVs as well.
I was hoping for a Wicked Twister pov. Well atleast we got this! :)

The OnPoint blog was the only reason I ever visited the CP site. I never even check their FB because it's a bunch of stupid "buy a season pass!" "Here's a deal we've told you about 400 times!" posts. Not to mention the idiotic things people post on there. *sigh*
OnPoint had MEAT. I'm completely over this 140 character blurb nonsense.
Reading the blog in the off-season got me pumped up enough to book trips to the point on two different occasions. That's something FB will never get me to do.

Anyone else feel like Tony won't be replaced and that leaving CP might not have totally been his idea. Maybe (hopefully) he saw the writing on the wall and got out before he was asked to leave.
Just so you know, the decision to leave was mine and not anyone else's. There are always reasons to make career-changing choices and I have mine, but there was no "writing on the wall," so to speak.
Besides, the office is probably a LOT quieter with me gone. :)
