The area around 'Area 51'

I really like the idea raptor323 had about it going over the midway. I think some of the funnest places to be other than ON the actual rides, its under them.

Noise on the launch could be an issue but the launch for WT is really not that loud so it could be done.

They would probably just move the dippin dots stand a little...Those things are small and easy to transport.

The Intamin Hydrolic Launch used on Xcelerator is supposidly very quiet.

I think that is only because the launch equipment is mostly underground, as I understand it anyway.

I just stopped by Knotts this morning on my way back from LAX to see Xcelerator. I was amazed at how quiet it was!! The traffic on the street was much louder than the coaster. It was 9:45 in the morning so there were no passengers on the ride yet, but I'm sure they could not make all that much noise. The first test run of the morning didn't make it over the tophat and the train returned to the station. It was surprising to see how long it took for the train to re-enter the station after a misfire. I also noticed that the track on the tophat extends pretty far above the highest point of the supports. If the CP ride was to be 400', how high do you guys think the supports would actually need to be?

I can say as a pass holder I do not ride the coasters every trip. I usually ride one coaster once a week. I play games (Just a couple thousand points short of the TV/VCR combo 15,000 point...Very proud of it.) I love the shows too. The older coaster help train the kids for the bigger ones. ID and CCMR both work great for younger kids...

I hope they use the island for part of the ride... It would be cool if the station was on the island...Looking at the arial shot of the land I can't see that happening.....But if I recall there was a big rumor here about the island being used for more stuff a couple of years ago....
