the 13th (long and very pretty)

this was my first trip to cp this year. to sum it up it up would be that is was just amazing.

ryan's church bus pulled in about 9:30. we got into the actual force line at about 9:45. chris and ryan went to mantis(they fear the force). we had those super duper convienent and awesome family radio things. nick and i waited 20minutes for the force, and of course with our luck, we didnt have much to choose from. we sat in 3-2. you guys all know the layout, and i basically have the same to say like everyone else about it. this is the best ride ever known to man. everything is perfect. the first drop and those air/hang/float hills are simple amazing and my favorite parts of the ride. we went to gemini, and ended up riding that twice throughout the day. then we went to magnum. we waited 10 minutes in the station. this time, we were joined by chris while ryan was still afraid. i sat by nick in the very back. chris was afraid of the back, so he sat in the middle. man, this ride seems 20x's better than last year. we got right back on again, this time, the row where my magnum riding began, 2-3. i also rode in the middle again w/ a 45minute wait later in the day, and waited ejector seat 30minutes. let me say right now that the ejector seat is not a myth. renee the op(and my girlfriend [i am kidding]) told us "The Secret" to get more air. boy was she right. nick and i rode the ejector with our shirts over our heads and did "The Secret". we also rode CCMR, MS, DT(awesome, awesome, awesome), Mantis, Raptor, and MF two more times. nick and i left chris and ryan behind once again around midday to ride mf again. we waited the 2 hour wait. it really seemed less because of the dj. he was very cool, and he was nice. of course, nick and i requested the best song ever, the safety dance by men w/out hats. we did our stupid little dances in line and everyone just looked at us. we cheered some of them up, but then there are the ones who think that having a good time is bad and looked away in disgust. we were finally 'home free', the incline up to the station that nick and i call it. with our luck once again, we were pretty far back in getting through the counters. we looked for a car, and then our 'luck' changed. there she was, open waited for nick and i: seat 5, row 1. this, my friends is also not a myth. the ejector seat on this puppy is really, really awesome. i think we had a conversation while we floated on the two drops. later that night, after more coaster riding, we found ourselves waiting for mf again. this time brittany and abbey came to join us and braved it out, while chris and ryan, again, chickened out and said stuff like: and i qoute "its not worth waiting two hours", "i hate waiting in line", "i want to ride other coasters". i just replied, i wont feel sorry for you, you have no idea of the powers of the force, and you will regret it for a long time. so off nick and i went with a little company. the line was a little longer but the sign still said 2hours. of course, we requested safety dance again and did some more dancin'. we were finally home free after another great wait (we call the MF queue 'The Party'). well, we counted and we were pretty sure we were gonna be the last ones in. we told the girls to get in front of us(they had no idea of the assignments), so we could maybe get first choice next train. well, our calculations were off, we pushed thourgh the counters dead last. abbey and brittany sat in the middle and then, and angel blessed us. earlier, nick had lost his very favorite hat on gemini. we also were out of money. this angel must have felt sorry for us. these other two teens, were going into the back car, but all of a sudden, the angel turned them around and nick and i ran right into back car. nick almost cried. we were not worthy to sit in MF's very back seat, but the angels let us. getting whipped over that hump is something out of this world. that is all i could say about it. there isnt as much hang time on the hills, but it is still there. great, great, great day at the park. the only down side of the day was when nick lost his hat(you guys dont know that hats history, but it serves him right not securing it good enough on gemini). but nick losing his hat wasnt a let down for me.

i would like to thank all the great ops and food people that i met on tuesday. william and renee on magnum(especially renee, she is very cool), joe at the hammer hit game, toshia for all the extra stuff on the nachos, michael and jenny on gemini, and jennifer(i think) on MF. cp blows any park out of the water. i actually saw security for the first time this whole season. none of the ops were rude when i started conversations with them. chris and ryan missed out, but nick and i have made great memories to remember.
-Mike

you better believe abbey and brittany(who are a year younger than us) let chris and ryan know how much they missed out :)
