Some of my most interesting drives have been through the sawgrass of Florida and the desert openness of Utah. Anything beats driving anywhere in the vicinity of NYC.
I just think that this is funny because it sorta got off topic.  The original questions was could you drive around in the Cedarpoint in the offseason.  And how the causaway was so long.  But all of a sudden were talking about roads that are so boring and how it's 2.5 of this and 2.5 or that.  I just saw that as funny.

Excuse me, mr.ride dude could you tell me if Magnum is sinking. oh and while your at it why is the GW on the other side of the park???

Thomas Edison Bridge, Ottawa Co. And I love that bridge. Ever notice the lights come equipped with a seagull. Most every time we drive over it there is one seagull on top of each light.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

When i went to CP last year with school we took the way where you see the MF from a distance.  It was soo cool. And that was the VERY first time that i have ever been to CP, and my friends whre like Jess your going on that. (pointing to the MF). But when I went with my family in october, we tok a different route and went in through the causeway.  Which was still pretty cool.  I lke the road taht leads to the causeway.  I think the name of it is like Cedar Point Drive, or something. Rite there and then when I saw that I said, "this is where I am gonna live when I get older."

Driving from Michigan isn't so bad for me, straight shot down I-275 to 75, to 280 then Route 2.

Thats the exact route I take.  I hate getting behind semis on Rte. 2, you know the ones that go 40.  Ah...Must...Get...To...The ...Point...Faster!
Whereabouts are you at, I'm near Jackson which is about 80 miles west of good ol Detroit

"The nice thing about the trip to CP is that is is mostly easy driving where as if I go down south to say BGW, you have to drive close to NYC, Baltimore, Washington, etc.  It certainly makes for a more interesting drive, but some of the driving down there is insane!  You can be doing 80 and there are two lanes to your left going faster."

What Baltimore and Washington have *you* been driving pass? The one thing I absolutlely hate about living around here (DC) is that people drive too DAMN slow! It seems like whenever I drive down to PKD I'll be in the far left lane, keeping up with traffic and only doing like 63mph! I'm used to *at least* going 70-75! Give me good old midwest highways ANYTIME!

BTW (on topic) arent the restaurants (Bay Harbor, Fridays) open year round? If so, then they would HAVE to allow people to drive on the causeway in the offseason.
