I'm looking hard for a point you're trying to make.

dsloban suggested that we shouldn't judge people who get tattoos. I was merely retorting otherwise.

I like seeing people with tattoos that have gotten "larger" since they got them. Can't ever tell what they are. :)
Let's Get Weird.
After working Raptor here's how i know that they were tourists. 1. They knock on the window of the control booth to ask the person in controls where to put their stuff. 2. They swing their legs uncontrolably kicking you in the shins and not even noticing it. 3. Placing their crap on the platform instead of in the bins. 4. Wearing their backpacks on their front side and refusing to put it in the bins because it's going to get "stolen". 5. They have every souvonier known to man. 6. They throw their crap off of the train as it leaves the station hitting us. and 7. walking down the midway they stop and stare at Dragster when it launches.

I still stop and stare at TTD when it launches. Does that make me a tourist?

Everybody does that!
How can you not, she's so hypnotic.:)
Though I can point out the tourists when I hear, "I wonder how they do that?" after they're done watching.

Oh jeez. I never look at the dragster when I walk by. I do look in the morning right when i get there to see if its up and running. That's the only time i look. I guess I'm just used to it being there. Lol.

This thug here had the Cedar Point logo w/Snoopy-and 2 years ago added the skyline so now the whole tat is way larger (about 1/2 the size of my calf) but you can definitely tell what it is!
Tattoos are a personal choice, my tats all reflect my passions. Horses, CP, Raptor and the Mets. Yea I know years down the road I will have to explain to my Grandkids wth Grandma was thinking but for now I have no regrets. I am ready to get a couple more even! :)
My youngest daughter is following right in my footsteps too, she's gotten 3 (tasteful) tats so far and I am sure she is far from done!
Now I have to come in defense of cargo shorts I LOVE my cargo shorts and that's all I will wear at CP (if its warm enough obviously) I have one pair that fits my id, pass, credit cards, digital camera, cell phone, car keys, excedrin, chap stick and gum. Far better than a fanny pack and I don't have to leave anything in the bins!
So you may mistake me for a tourist but one look at my tats and you'll know you are way wrong! ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Skirts, polo shirts, button downs, Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle etc.. UGH those annoying GP's.
If they are between the ages of 13 and 30, most of our locals / passholders do too.
Two things that almost always indicate a "tourist"...
Fanny Pack and Park Map
Well the fanny pack is worn by many including me! I am a regular, but I like to pack lite at the park ,so I wear a pack. Also a word of advice, don't carry sunblock in a can on the Millennium Force! My sister made the mistake and didn't think to check the cap to see if it was closed. Well wjen she got off, the whole inside of the pack was protected from the sun! We laughed. You learn as you go! I agree with the maps! I get a kick out of the ones who have the map in their hand and are standing by the big sign trying to compare if the attraction is in the same spot on both maps! I know I have done that in a park I was not fimilar with. So I guess you can say I am not laughing at them, I am laughing with them! I know we are working on planning a trip to Disney world. My husband grew up in the area, but he hasn;t been down there since the 70's so we have no clue what is there. I have been reading books, researching on the net, and I feel like it is crazy to figur anything out about where to stay and to make sure you eat! I have an idea what We aould like to do. If anyone has any sugestions and where to stay that is not a foture, but will be cool for a family with two teen age boys, I would be grateful for the info! Thanks!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
Gotta jump in on the fanny pack comment. I am also a regular and I wear a fanny pack too. Many regulars do, it's a good way to travel light with the few items you will need during a day at CP. Some prefer cargo pants/shorts for the same reason. To me either option would indicate a regular more than a tourist.

You cannot forget strollers and finger pointing.

And another stereotype gets hoisted. Do you think that regulars don't ever have small children, or that they don't take them to parks? She's long outgrown it, but my daughter has probably made 50 or 60 trips to CP in a stroller over the years.

Screw cargo pants/shorts, coaster pants would indicate a regular to me. If you don't know what coaster pants are then you're just a wanna-be regular. ;)
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
I knew someone ws going to mention coaster pants at some point.:)
I remember forgetting to bring my pair for Coastermania weekend......it was a hell without them.:D

What? I've already said countless times that I was being sarcastic/trolling. That's how I dress, I have tattoos, my wife brings a purse to the park, and I wear flip flops.
I'm an enthusiast's nightmare.
