I was at Dorney in 04 and me and my sister were in line for Hang time at night. It was me, sis, and a few other people. A young african american boy was in front of us and we was alone. Then he turned around, waved his hand, signaling for this entire "family reunion" group of folks to come rambling into the line of the ride. We stepped aside, letting them pass. They all had line jumped. There were about 30 people. But we all did get on the same ride load for the gondola. If we had to wait for another load, then we would have been mad. Thank God the park was empty that night, at least.
sorry, but nothing bugs me more than when people telling a story about a person, has to make sure to list what color that person was. all u had to say was "a young boy... who was part of a family reunion. what color he was has nothing to do with story! we need to fix this common problem.
fast...Faster...FASTEST!
No, actually if he was Caucasian, Latino, Asian or any other race and I was telling the story, I would have included his race too. Do you take offense to it? Is that now a form of racism? Are you embarrassed of your race? In fact, if I was telling the story and it was some white kids doing it I would have probably categorized even more and used a term such as white trash or trailer trash if the proverbial shoe had fit. So to you it's a problem....maybe it's your problem?
I scared the crap out of some young African American boys in MF's line one time when they thought they were going to cut through the landscaping. There's a few people here that can attest to it.:)

A tourist is usually laughing and having fun. A regular is complaining about how there are 30 burned out lights on the ferris wheel.

You got that right. In fact, this year I'm going to play the role of "tourist" and only go to CP once or twice, and KI once or twice. Mainly, it's because I go so much that it's not like it used to be for me, and also partly because I don't want to turn into "that guy". :-D
You hit the nail on the head lladnar!!
^^Then don't run into exitenglish or loopy into the park cause you'll get a good dose of ridicule.:)
And was I there Bryan? I remember something, but only vaguely.....I want to attest to it, but I dont know if I can.:)

No I don't think you were that time. I'm pretty sure it was Rob and Cindy who were there.

Tourists still think the dolphin show exists.
2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

Only regulars even know what the dolphin show was...

I'm kinda late to this party but I thought I would put in my ideas.
Regulars: Knows how to get to the Marina or Soak city gate and know that it is a 'well kept secret' and do not mention it outside of the group you are with that day. They over hear someone saying something about how to get to 'such and such place' the wrong way and politely correct them telling them the correct way to go. Similar to the nearest Lemon Chill stand, they always know where the nearest restroom is.
Tourists: Line jump even after a regular politely asks them not to. Cling to their map like a life line. Ask how long the wait for a ride is when the "Aproximate wait" sign is 2 feet in front of them. Don't understand that the bins that are available for some rides are not available for all rides.

Actually, I never correct anyone or try and point them in the "right direction", because it's none of my business.
Well, to be honest it hardly ever happens, but every now and then I do ask them if they would like help. I never intentionally make them look stupid or anything like that, in fact I be as nice as I can about it. If I visited another park that I was unfamiliar with and was headed the wrong way like that I would be thankful if someone helped me out instead of walking around aimlessly. I guess it's just me.

I only help if I'm asked. I was gettin in line for Iron Dragon last year and was asked if it was Raptor. I said no and said it was the big green one over there. They said thanks and left.
It may not be my "business", but if someone needs help it is ok to help them. If someone is getting abused/harrassed should I just stay out since its not my "business"?
Let's Get Weird.
If I am standing next to someone in line or elsewhere who clearly is confused on needs help I will comment. For example last year a father and child were clearly confused about which area they should go to next. I commented.
Sometimes when people are saying really inaccurate things I have a hard time keeping quiet but as you noted it is none of my business. For example many people at Canada's Wonderland last year discussed how affraid they were of the biggest coaster in the world. I tried to keep my giggling low.
I'm going out to get some air.
Well I guess I am glad that I am not the only one who helps out. I never do anything to make the other guest feel inferior or stupid. Usually it is nice and helpful.
