There is of course that master piece of film making titled "Close Encounters of the 4th Kind: Infestation from Mars". Featuring Dick and Judy Kinzel at the Bocci Club, Kinzel's house and the grand finale filmed right in the park. The movie starred Kinzel's daughter.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Even though I've known about "4th encounters" for quite a while, I have yet to see it. I've only seen a few clips from it. Looking forward to see it in its' entirety.

There is a Sandusky, Ohio reference in "50 First Dates", where "Callahan Institute" is spouse to be.
And Tommy Boy takes place in Sandusky, which the name of the company is Callahan, which is what that is referring to. Dan Aykroyd was the actor who said that and he also starred in Tommy Boy as the CEO of a rival company where he tried to buy out Callahan.
The thing is, Paramount (who owned King's Island at the time) distributed Tommy Boy, which is why even though it was in Sandusky, OH, you had no mention of CP, plus, you had people saying stuff like "Anything to do in this town?"
^That's funny! I haven't seen that movie in years so I'll have to watch again and pick up on that.

Is it on Netflix?

I know the sitcom 'Family Ties' was based out of Columbus, Ohio. There's at least 1 episode where it centers around taking a trip to Sandusky; I'll have top comb back through the series and see if CP is actually mentioned there or anywhere else.
I was super before Super Stew was cool !
I just remembered...
A few years ago (maybe 2 or 3) I watched an episode of "Cash Cab"--a gameshow that takes place in a taxi and the contestants answer questions and get money until they reach their destination. Once they reach their stop, they have the option of doing a "double-or-nothing video bonus challenge" (where a short video clip accompanies the question).
One episode, a contestant decided to do the video challenge. The host/taxi driver describes Cedar Point as "one of America's most popular amusement parks" or something like that--and the video footage showed some clips of the Raptor (that's all I remember them showing) and the question was where Cedar Point is located. The contestant said the wrong answer and lost all his money. I think he either said New York or Florida--I don't remember exactly.
