Taxi Service

I am riding Grayhound into Sandusky & need a taxi to get to C.P. for check-in. I was wanting to know the names & phone #'s of them & if you recomend any certain service?

Also I have a layover in Toledo around 3:00 a.m. what is there to do there at that time of night? I have to be there until 8:00 a.m. thats a long time to sit there for the next bus. :)

Speaking of modes of public transportation, I will probably use one at some point in the summer. I was wondering how far away the stations were and what forms of public transportation were available (just bus, or are there trains as well?)... Thanks!!!

Well ok. I dont know the number of the taxi right off hand, but it is city taxi. They are pretty good. I am sure you can find the number on the Internet somewhere (Infospace, etc.). As for when you are at the Point, most times your roomies, or co-workers will be willing to give a ride. If not, the employee bus makes daily trips to the mall and downtown. I hope that helps a little.

Toledo, after Midnight is dead, at 3:00 am you can probably take a nap, by 6:00 you can watch the sunrise. I'm sure they'll have a tv, I live west of Toledo out in the suburbs in Springfield, and I know out here after like 11:00 the streets are dead, there might be something down there in the bus station.

There is usually a taxi sitting at the bus terminal when you get there. It is not one of the better services, but apperently the driver has a connection with Greyhound(not exatactly sure) and is pretty cheap. Besides the Bus, which is located just beyond SR 2 on US 250, their is also a train station. Amtrack runs the line which goes from Chicago to Pittsburgh, I think. The station is located somewhere in town, I'm not exactly sure where. There is also a ferry that will take you to Ontario Canada if need be. That is located in the downtown area on the waterfront.

Sandusky has one of the worst taxi services I have ever encountered. Half the time they are either very late or forget to pick you up. It's really bad at night time. They need more taxis on the steets.
