Since 2015 when Cedar Point introduced Sweet spot by Pagoda gift shop, I have fallen in love with the Fudge and other sweets they have to offer in there. I love the variety of different types of Fudge that they have in there and the price isn't too overly priced. It's a few dollars more than what I pay at a Market District Giant Eagle store, but It's well worth it. So far, I don't have a sold on favorite fudge that I like in there, but I keep experimenting. I want everyone to post their thoughts on it.
I went in there last year and looked around a bit, I really didn't pay much attention to the prices on much aside from the taffy that I went in there to see what they had. I liked that there was quite a selection of flavors and you were offered two pretty decent sized boxes to fill up at what I consider a good price. I haven't tried the fudge yet, but have thought about it for this coming season.
The Sweet Spot is one area where CP Food Services actually shines, most likely because there is no need to serve food hot and fresh due to the nature of sweets.
I really hope this re-imagined custom space is a sign of the future for food services at CP (like all fresh, never frozen burgers were supposed to be but didn't happen).
What is really impressive here besides the confections is the layout, cleanliness, selection, presentation and consistency. It is unlike any any other food service in the park and has a very refined, non-Cedar Fair feel to it. If the park could extend even 50% of the refinement at Sweet Spot to the other food spots in the park it would be massive improvement and would likely get CP notable for its dining once again.

I think this location shines since I believe it is managed by the merchandise department and not the food services department.

I personally prefer Sweet Spot's taffy, over that sold elsewhere in the park. It's softer and I think it's more flavorful.
I haven't tried the fudge yet, although a few flavors have caught my eye. I like the wide flavor selection of the taffy, and spring for 2-3 of the smaller boxes each year.

We've tried a couple of the popcorn flavors. Pretty good. It's nice in there. They have one at Kings Island too which we also got a thing or two from. I like the concept.

Sweet Spot is nice, but definitely need more options. I was very underwhelmed by everything they had. It is a very big store that has more potential.

I love it! It smells wonderful in there and all the sweets and candies are so pretty. If they have it again this year, I HIGHLY recommend the Valravn fudge. Vanilla with a caramel swirl, topped with blue and gold sugar sprinkles. It's divine. <3

One of the biggest problems with the food service at the park is the infrastructure. Take the Burger Patio, Mr. Potato/Happy Friar, Roundup, and Gristmill Refreshments all as examples.They were all built in the 1960's and 1970's and have never been updated to be more efficient.
Disney World has very few quick serve windows--- they are full building restaurants where everything is set up in the name of efficiency (Pecos Bill, Cosmic Rays, Columbia Harbour House)
Harmony Hall at Carowinds is a step in the right direction, but even on my visit there, the food seemed cold and workers confused.
They need to put cashiers in booths out front and have their job be taking orders only. People inside the windows should be dealing with food only. It's awful to watch these people take people's money, then stare back in the kitchen, stare back at the customer, fill a drink, and then ask me if I got my order...
^ Maybe they could serve elephant ears and funnel cakes in there. I love how it's not just fudge in there. A lot of times I go in there and get the buckeyes or a pretzel stick. Both are really good. Maybe they could introduce cream filled cookies! Would that be more variety then?

And it's not just the workers who are confused. Many times, guests don't know what window to go up to to place an order, where exactly to wait to get their food, because of the same infrastructure issues.
I've long thought that a venue that mixes food and entertainment; such as the Festhaus at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, would be great.
The reason Sweet Shop feels so wonderful is because, as mentioned above, it was built sometime after the last Cleveland Browns championship.

The what window is open thing should be a no brainier. How hard is it to put up a sign in the window that says "Next Window Please" or something similar? End of confusion, no matter what year the building was built.

I gather from this post that you have not had the pleasure of experiencing CPs self-order kiosks...
They are a whole new level of confusion for the employees. Maybe they can get the kinks worked out, but the overall design of the kiosks menu was horrible and unintuitive. I met the guy that programmed the Funpix and he was very open to suggestions on improving that. It sounded as if kiosks were being done in house as well, I think that is something that would need professional expertise on customer user interfacing.

Hmmm, well I had absolutely no problems with the Coasters kiosks. I ordered the food in under a minute, I thought the interface was clear and and easy to use.

We used the kiosks at a couple of stands as well, worked out ok. Was pretty easy to navigate and complete the sale using the dining plan.
The service was still as slow as ever though. I could see someone taking food that wasn't theirs though. The workers weren't checking tickets to match to the order, just calling out a number then saying what was in the order.
