Supports?

Did anyone else notice something funny behind Snake River Falls in the fifth picture of the aerials? It almost looks like blue supports or track laying on the ground... maybe even some yellow to the left. Does anyone have an explanation?

As the picture was taken from over 1000' away, it can be had to distinguise anything. But, I belive those are the old Sky Ride Cabins.

If it were something that had to do with a new ride, I'm sure Walt would have ommited the picture or blured it out.

Those are old cars from an old ride, they have been sitting there for years, you see them from the CP&LE RR when you go past Snake River Falls if you look behind the fence.

Disney Mike beat me to it. I'm not sure what those yellow supports are for. Mabey TTD?

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that those are the cars from the Sky Ride that use to be at Dorney Park.

Why would they dump old Dorney stuff on prime CP property?

That's all old Frontier Lift stuff.

I thought the cars on the current sky ride are the ones from the fontier lift and that the ones from the sky ride are sitting in the boneyard.

Jason is correct

Rumor has is that they originally planned to have a mini-sky ride in Camp Snoopy, but nothing of that sort has come to fruition. So if the rumor is true then either the plans fell through, or they have been delayed for some reason.

It is indeed Sky Ride from Dorney, not Frontier Lift.

They are from Dorney, you guys would be surprised at how much stuff from other parks they have back in the maintenance buildings next to Corkscrew.

I don't know if surprised would be the right word as much as "Why in the world do the keep this crap?"

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

One Word: parts

when they demolished Mr.Hydes at Geauga Lake this off season they kept a lot of the mechnaical pieces for Deamon Drop.

so if mabey a hinge on a Skyride Cabin door breaks off they could grab one from one of the cabins stiing in the bone yard and swap it out.

The seats for the spare Sky Ride in the bone yard are not the same cabins as Sky Ride at Cedar Point. If I am not mistaken, their more like seats on a ski-lift. Something similar to a sky ride you might find along a Jersey Shore "Boardwalk";)

But they do keep crap around for parts. Cedar Point is a big pack rat! As for why that sky ride was brought here, which was awhile ago, I heard it was going to be used. But not for the same reason CP_Bound said. I figure it might end up at GL.

From what I've seen, the cabins back there are very similar to the ones used on Sky Ride, but they appear to be a little smaller and a little more round.

These are the same type of cabins that are seen behind snake river falls.
