Supercoasters on NGC

So is anyone going to watch this tonight? I thought I would start a place for us to discuss it since from what it seems they are going to talk about mostly CP coasters.

I have to watch it, and tape it. Maybe I'll us our DVD recorder to do it, for the best sound and picture. I have a feeling this'll be a alsome show.

Well this line will stick for a while... They introduce KK and the anouncer goes "Kindga Ka is massive, mindblowing and most of the time it doesnt work"

The show is soooooo sweet!!!!!!!! Most of the first 20 mins was CP.

I must say, there are some incredible camera angles in this.

Rick has a cool job (lift hill on MF).

I must say I'm amused so far. Although it seems like there is a lot of CP love in this thus far. Maybe that'll change a little bit?

And cedarpoint24/7 is right. They talked about KK for about a minute then showed the car covered on the track. Wow, didn't see that one coming.

Yeah they didnt hold any punches on KK or TTD neither did Monty Jasper. But one awesome show that is for sure.

Awsome show, its a keeper.

Nice long and in depth for once.

That show was really well produced by the National Geographic channel. It didn't just talk about a few coasters, but actually explained everything in detail about the forces and calculations that go into these rides when designing them. It gave me a stronger appreciation for the people in the industry that continue to push the envelope to satisfy us fans.

This is by far the best roller coaster progam I have seen, and certainly the best footage of any of cedar point's rides, including Top Thrill Dragster, Millenium Force, Raptor, Mean Streak, and Magnum XL-200. EXCELLENT JOB NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL (one more reason why I love the NGC!!!)

Granted it was stock footage, it was cool to see TTD with the rear theaming (spoiler, tires and motor). The coaster concept with the robotic arm thing looked out of this world as well as the San Francisco treat 5 mile long coaster.

I loved the quoute "Kinda Ka is a great ride when it is working".

Any of the 500 footer hopfuls catch what Monty Jasper said.

Also, what was that Intamin coaster on the computer. Some of it looked like Expediton G-Force, but others could have been something else.

2 hours of a show without the screaming girl saying a Vekoma SLC is the craziest coaster ever built, NGC did a great job.

I'm rendering the video right now, and then I'll burn some DVD's of it. Well produced and directed show.
