Well this is my first trip report so im gonna make it short and to the point.

I got there and did the running of the bulls at 10 am with my girlfriend to run like mad to the dragster. Needless to say the dragster took over 2 hours due to them only putting 6 people per train. All in all it was a good ride, i was hoping for a rollback but didnt get one.

All the other coasters were running well except for my little mishap on mean streak. We got stuck halfway up the lift hill. They said a sensor went off and shut the ride down and were just going to start it up again and let us go thru the cycle. If you think the ride is a little harsh try being on it during a restart. The lift chain is horrible and it just jerks the crap out of you, but at least i got a good look at Maverick while i was up there. Sorry i could not reach my phone to take a pic cause it was under the lap bar :(

We were on Magnum some time during the day and the 2nd train behind us got stuck almost at the top of the hill. We were at the brakes before the station, the train behind us was stopped right after the last tunnel and the third was on the hill. I have no idea why it stopped but they let us off and went running for the car by the tunnel. I would not have wanted to be in there if another train was on the course and get rear ended out of the tunnel.

Well all said it was a very cold but exciting day. We finished our day with a front seat ride on Millie and all was good. Now i just have to drive 2 1/2 hours home exausted. Thanks for reading.

First of all, even if you did take a pic of Maverick from the MS lift, Walt would not allow you to post it on here, since on-ride photography is not allowed at CP.

Second, to address the issue at Magnum. When a train stops right outside the final tunnel, it is called a setup. This normally happens because a train is stopped on the next brake before the station. When this happens, if a train leaves the station, it will stop on the lift, until the train outside the tunnel has cleared the block. It's a safety system, and there really shouldn't be any concern for getting "rear-ended". In fact it happened to me twice this weekend alone. The guy you saw running out under the lift was, to put it simply, resetting things to get the ride up and running again.

Hope that clears things up.

I hate to say this but my trip report was not made to make a fool of me not knowing some things about the park, it was to tell everyone about my expierience there. I feel like a fool now that someone has corrected me on something and gave me a play by play on what went on there on the magnum. You could have made it like "it is suppost to do that dont worry" thanks for making me feel like an idiot.

No no no.. I didn't mean to do that at all. I never once called you a fool, or put you down for not knowing that information. I just wanted to explain it to you. The only reason I know that is because I worked at the park for 2 seasons. I just know when something happens at the park that I don't understand, I can count on someone from these forums to explain it to me. Thats all I was trying to do, is share the knowledge. If it offends you I can remove my post. I'm glad you had a great day at the park!
