I have received several e-mails from sources alleging that there will be a NON endorsed white supremacist rally on Sunday June 21st at the park- protesting the similarly NON endorsed unoffical "Gay Day" that is celebrated traditionally every Fathers Day.
Has anyone else heard of this rumor?
Unfortunatly this does seem to be on their schedule....

I would hope someone from this site will contact the CP and Sandusky Police to give them a heads up.....
^^Yikes!!
Well, the only thing I can say is at Darien Lake on Father's Day last year there was none of that happening, and there wasn't anything like that happening at KI in 07 either!? In 06 I wasn't a big park-goer so I have no clue.
I'll be at Six Flags Magic Mountain this Sunday, so hopefully I can at least be 3 for 3 with avoiding unpleasant crap like this!!
^ It might be but the neo-nazi's(i think thats what they're called) are paying customers! There money is as green as anyone else. I agree about it not being the best publicity. It is very hard to satisfy everyone. For an example, if PETA came to cedar point protesting, i wouldn't be happy. I think alot of other people would be starting a riot!
*By the way MagnumAllDay welcome to pointbuzz!* :)

The difference is the gay folks are comming to CP to have a good time, to have fun! The other group is comming at a minimum to stage a political protest, or worse, start troube.
Big difference!
Thinking out loud here...isn't the peninsula private property? If so, would the nazis have the right to protest outside the gates on non-public property? If they were indeed paying customers, they still woulnd't have the right to carry banners and such inside the park would they? And if they decided to wear certain offensive t-shirts, doesn't CP have some sort of offensive clothing rule?
How much more weight loss will it take to get on Raptor, Mantis, MF and TTD?
It's sad that so little can be done to prevent ignorant morons from spewing their hate. There may be little CP can do to keep them out of the park assuming they are following the rules, but I'm sure they won't be allowed to protest or pass out literature anywhere on the peninsula. I imagine the closest they could get (being on public land) would be the sidewalks by the dorms on down to Cleveland Rd.
Hopefully the whole thing ends up just being a non-event and everyone can just focus on having a fun filled day!
"The National Socialist Movement tells NBC24 they no longer plan to hold a demonstration in Sandusky."

I wonder if any of the "sub" spin-off groups of this organization plan to protest as I have recently and unfortunately been made aware of.
Apparently, there is yet "another" similar white supremacist group that has ALLEGEDLY been making threatening and violent comments directly at LGBT groups and organizations that plan to attend Cedar Point on Sunday.
This has recently been broadcast on local Toledo news stations as well as mentioned in local Internet chat rooms.
Guests have been urged to take extra safety precautions "just in case".
Regardless of your politics and beliefs, an amusement park is NOT the place to protest, rally, sit-in, etc. **SIGH**.
