What a surprising day! It is a Sunday in July and I was expecting the worst when my friend and I left Southern Ohio early in the morning. The entire trip up consisted of rain. When we finally got there, the rain was still coming down. As we went into the park, not too much was up yet, with the exception of Millennium Force. We opted for Mine Ride though, which turned out to be an excellent ride. I'm not good at chronological things, so just a few notes (keep in mind it's been a few weeks since I've been last):
-The park was empty today, the longest I waited was 45 minutes for Millennium Force. My other three waits for MF were only 30 minutes. Many of the other coasters shifted from maximum waits of 30 minutes to the more common one train waits and walk-ons. I took advantage of walking on Space Shot four times, and about a 10 minute wait for Turbo Drop.
-Some of the lockers by the Magnum Exit were removed, consequently, there are even more lockers near the Power Tower entrance. When did this happen?
-To anybody else who was there on Sunday...Did Mean Streak rollback today? When I rode the train, I swore I saw the Yellow Train stuck, but I could have easily been mistaken in what I saw, plust I never heard anything of it. I never did make it, because it was down, and I wasn't sure why.
-Millennium Force: No TTR today, didn't hear the rollback noise until later in the evening, all three trains all day long, different wheel combinations creating a faster overall ride.
The weather turned out to be excellent, and the people stayed away. Had a great meal at the Breakers Pool Side Deli, and met a lot of cool people!
