Thanks to horse show season and colts to train we haven’t been to CP as much as we normally do. I looked forward to this trip, so much in fact I’m glad I have a radar detector or I easily could have gotten busted for speeding a couple o’ times on way there!!
High Po!nts: Gotta love Joe Cool! :) There is just something about walking past all those people stuck behind that blue gate. Even something better about looking at those same people while you are riding Raptor. We ended up with a total of 3 Joe Cool Raptor rides. I definitely missed my baby. I especially loved it when after 2 of my rides the op said “welcome back Raptor riders and Raptor Jo, how was your flight?” :)
Checking out the construction zone to see how far the new coaster has come-took a lot of pictures. Rode the #10 wooden coaster MS (wth?) and it seemed to be the exact same ride it always is ZZZZZZ.
We rode pretty much everything we wanted to, with no substantial long waits. Despite one side of Skyhawk down we only waited 30 minutes. The more I ride that thing the more I like it.
We had fun just walking around the park and taking in the sights and sounds. I had anticipated seeing a lot of the people I work with and didn’t, yes, that’s a high po!nt! :)
Our visit in the PR office was a blast. I’ve missed a lot of my CP buds!
Had to have 2 of the carousel horses I’ve been eyeing since OD, had to have one of the new Raptor shot glasses, and of course, NO way was I leaving the park without the newest (and one of the coolest ever) Raptor shirts. I am considering the design as an add on to one of my Raptor tats….that will remain to be seen.
My husbands exact words, “just what you need, one more Raptor shirt” ;)
Low Po!nts: MaxAir was the Vomit Comet after our ride. Someone hurled ALL over the gondola after our ride. Blech :(
Listening to “know it all” guests telling people how TTD is the fastest coaster in the world, how Magnum is sinking (and they heard it from someone who knows) and how CF is considering moving the Beast to the beach at CP. HA!
Someone had hung a monkey on one of the trees on Raptors queue. The fun part was watching people laughing at the monkey hanging there. The suck point was when some idiot decided to steal the monkey. Despite everyone seeing him steal it, he kept it. There is always one selfish idiot out there.
No Mr Skyward sightings, always a low po!nt for us ;)
And I spent WAAAAY too much on the aforementioned souvenirs!!!
All in all a great day at CP and I am already looking forward to our next trip. But have a funny feeling we may be heading to GL instead!! :)
Jo
Lifetime Raptor flights: 1117 :)
It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
