Myself, my wife, 10 year old, 9 year old, 5 year old and grandma went to Cedar Point for the day.
We arrived at CPat 10:00am and everyone but me rode the sky ride. I pushed the stroller to the other end. The family really loves this ride. Next grandma took the yongest to the new Snoopy area while the rest of us rode the Iron Dragon. 10 min wait. From there we went the the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Almost a walk on. on the way to the mine ride we looked to see how long the wait for MF was at this time it was 1 1/2 hour wait. After the mine ride we went to the Gemini. 15 min wait This was the biggest coaster the kids had ever been on and they loved it. next was the CorkScrew. Almost a walk on. This was the kids first looping coaster, they had a blast. We then met up with the youngest and grandma for a ride on the big Ferris Wheel. They could really use some shade over the line on this ride as it was extremely hot. The ride was fun and I got to see that by this time the lot had really filled up. Almost to the back of the lot. After the long wait for the ferris wheel we went out to the car for lunch. This is alway a money saver for us and I recomend it for everyone.
Once again grandma and the youngest went ot Kiddy Kingdom or what everit is called now. Everyone elses first ride after lunch was Disaster Transport. The wait said 45 min but I think it was more like 30. Everyone enjoyed the ride and it is cool (as in airconditioned) wait. Then we were all off to Camp Snoopy. While the youngest rode the rides in Camp Snoopy the older kids rode the Gemini about 6 times in a row. Their new favorite ride. The youngest and her mom waited for the Woodstock express for three of the Gemini rides. Then they all rode the Jr Gemini. Another 45 min wait. Me stuck with G-ma. After this it was a walk to Frontier land with a stop at the Antique cars and the swings twice. Walking in the shadded area was a relief compared to being out in the sun. We then all took a ride on the Cedar Point Railroad. Alwaya a favorite.
A large cheese pizza and 4 drinks for $30 not to bad. I have read some post about the price of food and didn't think this was too bad for the only meal bought in the park.
Then G-ma took the older kids on Thunder canyon twice while I took the youngest back to Camp Snoopy. They had closed both the water rides by this time. Not sure why? It was getting dark at this point. The kids each got to play a game and then for the last ride of the day it was the Paddle Boat Excursion. Always a family favorite.
A stop at the Pagoda Souvenier shop and at the Bathrooms while watching the fireworks made for an excellent day at Cedar Point.
Pros: The wait for some of the bigger rides Gemini and Corkscrew were not real bad. Most of the kid rides my daughter was able to get off and right back on (The park was pretty crowded this day). Didn't think the pizza deal was all that bad.
Cons: The wait for the Woodstock Express and the Jr. Gemini had longer wait times than some of the bigger rides. I think the wait for the magnum was only 15min. Need some shade over the line for the big Ferris Wheel.
All in all it was a great day including food and games and souveniers i think the grand total of money spent in the park was $55. Not to bad.
And like they say any day at Cedar Point is a good day.
