Hubby and I woke up bright and early to head up to the Point.
Although no real sun to speak of, those nasty looking skies were not as bad as they looked. During the day it spit off and on but no real rain. I had my fateful raingear just in case! No humidity which was a nice break compared the the last few days! We were afraid the park would be packed, and in the morning we weren't so sure it wouldnt be.
It seemed everyone was heading right for Raptor. We took advantage of our Joe Cool to get on line
alittle earlier than the gp. Had to make Raptor our 1st ride. Raptor was way slow....but ride was just what I needed. It felt wonderful riding my green baby again. I had forgotten how much I missed it! Hubby talked me into riding MaxAir after that...mistake...it was way too early to be spinning around like that! Blech!
We took on the rest of the park the rest of the day enjoying those CP sights and sounds. There was no real wait for any ride. We even watched the "Snoopy on Ice" show..it is really great again this year! :)
I didn't see any new or exciting merchandise, lucky for our checking account! There were a couple sweat shirts I have my eyes on and will more than likely pick them up before season over. I am still very disappointed there are no new carousel horses to purchase this season. Pagoda always had a great selection, and this season they only have 2 (ugly) horses, both of which I already have. *sigh* I guess I will have to find them again at the Quarter Horse Congress coming soon.
Met up with some my CP buds later on that afternoon. We all enjoyed a Raptor ride together and then a WT ride together. Low and behold but who did we see hanging out by the giant wheel? Mr Skyward! It was actually the 1st time I had seen him since OD. Made the DIRE mistake of saying hi to him and (of course) he had to walk up to me asking me what I had ridden. He must really like "AirMax" alot cause he asked me more than once if I had ridden it or not. Of course Hooper thought the whole thing was hilarious and again came to my rescue! :) Thanks Hooper! :)
CP was it's usual clean self, employees seemed to be having a great time (maybe the thoughts of the summer hours almost being over helps!) and there was no down times that we saw.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
An honest account of the park. Thanks for that. The park has been "beat", of late. Glad I can look forward to a great time in September!

Yeah he came up to you and said "Lets ride AirMax" or something like that. Now Now, Jo, be nice about him. We should have rode Maxair with him. I get the distinct impression your his CP Idol. ;) I thought your expression on your face was funny.
As the for the trip, the customer service was good. Only thing I would have liked to see was a little bit more ride ops on the flat rides. But the ride ops that were working were doing a good job.
"This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!"
