I am visiting CP next Tuesday with my church youth group. [not all of us are touring together . . . that would be a nightmare!] I haven't been to CP for a little over a year and this is my second visit. I am SUPER psyched, I just want to make sure that I can ride everything I want to.
We will probably be getting there at opening for the general public [no early entry, I think]. I want to be able to ride TTD, Millennium, Maverick, and Magnum. It would be nice to be able to ride Wicked Twister, Raptor, Skyhawk, and Maxair. Does anyone use a touring plan at CP? I usually use one at Disney, and I was wondering if CP even NEEDED one. The last time I was there, it was late May and there was pretty much no one. We were able to walk on everything. That trip was my first real introduction to "big" coasters, so I was too scared to ride Millennium and TTD [I am MAJORLY psyched about riding those, by the way].
Do you guys have any tips for how we should tour the park, or should we be able to pretty much go with the flow?
The only thing they offer that sounds like what you may be looking for is the VIP tour, which runs a $375/person tab.
Your best bet is to enter the park through the resorts gate near Magnum and work your way around the back of the park and do the front later in the day, as you will be opposite the majority of the crowd.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
No, no, no. What I meant was a specific order to visit the ridss.
But anyway, that does sound smart. I'll follow that advice! And anyway, today I just found out that once we get there on Monday, we're going to go and on Tuesday until we leave probably around 5. So that means more time than I thought, which means I'll definitely be able to ride everything I want!
