Not enough for you? Check out our bonus coverage on Twitter and Instagram.
Radio stations are not likely to cover it live as the satellite feeds set up are only for TV, but there may be some call-ins. Screams don’t really make for good morning show radio. Lol. We will get a POV video of our ride and those will likely get posted on station websites. Then probabaly talked about in afternoon drive and Thursday morning shows. The morning is really primarily for TV and online like Pointbuzz. Our radio group is not even going to arrive until 10 or so.

Looking forward to seeing the footage that comes out of this!
To see the ride, or to compare it to Gatekeeper's media day? ;)
Early reviews are sounding pretty amazing. I'm excited to get on this thing.
To see the ride. To compare it to GK's media day is pointless to me, because the aspect of GK's media day that I always fanboy about isn't here :P.
It looks AMAZING. I love how in the POV you can hear when the train is riding on its upstops.

Considering I wasn't an enthusiast when GK had it's media day, can someone tell me why everyone is always talking about it?
RMC streak or bust!
Yeah, I love the gift! A piece of wood from Mean Streak with a nice Steel Vengeance plaque on it, really nicely done. It will definitely find a place on my desk.
I was able to get eight rides on Steel Vengeance today and let me tell you, this is one amazing coaster, exceeded my expectations! The air time is incredible as is the disorientation as you twist through the track, especially on the 3rd lap as you go through the structure. The mid-course brake does not slow the train at all and the short piece of straight track is actually a nice break from the intensity of the rest of the ride. The turn to the left after the brake run actually has some nice laterals to it, that was totally unexpected. The track is super smooth, not one bump on it, the smoothest coaster I've ever been on. The inversions are perfectly designed in that you seemingly float through them but are not jostled around
uncomfortably. Airtime on this thing is intense! You are out of your seat as much as you are in it and after about the 4th or 5th ride the top of my legs were actually feeling a little bruised from the extremely strong forces of air time. I would have to agree with Tony that this is the world's best coaster, at least the best coaster that I have ever ridden.
For lunch they had a sampling of the food that will be available at The Smokehouse. All the food was good and the beef brisket especially stood out as being excellent. From what I understand, they have a smoker at the restaurant and the brisket was really nicely prepared. Very tender and flavorful!
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Pete,
I don't know you from Adam, but that ride report you gave was the most honest I have ever read about on forums like this.
The bit after the MCBR you said "The turn to the left after the break run actually has some nice laterals to it, that was totally unexpected"
I have never ridden it but I have been touting this to people I know because if you watch Tony Clark on Scoop # 3, as soon as he comes off the mid course break run he was caught off guard.
Watch the video of Scoop # 3 and you will see exactly what Pete just described.
