Yeah, it seemed pretty darn fast to me to be twisting around like that. Also, let's wait and see about the six bunny hops, six moments of airtime could very well beat four moments of airtime, down a hill or not.

This pleases me. I'd go so far to say that this is is about the best thing he could say to hype me up for Steel Vengeance even more. Love the idea of "rivaling Dollywood" and not being easy to marathon. I truly felt that way about Lightning Rod, after about 6 or 7 rides, my legs were getting quite sore.

Even if I agree with this statement, I fully expect Steel Vengeance will be a far superior ride in every notable way.

Love hearing comparisons to Skyrush and Lightning Rod being brought up since they are my number 1 and number 2 coasters...I do have a strong feeling that Steel Vengeance may take the crown if Twisted Timbers' rear seat POV is a clue as to what SV will be like.

Here we are now and there ain't no foolin' about it... It is April! :) So incredibly close now.

Thinking about making the 12 hour drive (+ stops and what not) late May, but it's terrifying to go that far for a non-B&M coaster that just opened. Love RMC and Cedar Point even without Steel Vengeance, but I'd be a little bummed if the coaster was down the entire time I was at the park.

We should have a pretty good idea about reliability by then.

B&M has a deserved reputation for reliability, however we’ve been there when Gatekeeper was down for days for work on the lift hill.
You cannot plan a trip around one specific ride.

I've been there when Valravn was broken down and Raptor as well. When I go to Cedar Point, I go for all the rides.

Machines = maintenance. CP does a fine job keeping them up most of the time. I’d rather be bummed a ride was down and still have a blast rather than regret not going at all based upon chance.

Cedar Point is great. There are reasons, outside of the scream machines, that it's my favorite park. I also usually do a better job quelling the hype but Steel Vengeance won me over. So, unfortunately, the disappointment will be there. Still, I'd definitely have a great time. You are all right about that.

Well, could I have some lessons from you, Renegade? XD I'm not good at quelling hype at ALL.

It's why when friends of mine ask for advice about planning a trip to the Point I always suggest a 2-3 day trip and not a day trip. Too much to do even if everything is open and an extra day or two is a good insurance policy for breakdowns and weather.

In all honesty, I think they should just cancel SV media and preview days. Instead they should just have another GK media day, it was that amazing that just having the chance to relive that moment in time will fix all life’s wrongs and make everyone in attendance whole.

How would that fix anything?

I'm not 100% certain but I also think the train has a little bit of that B&M rattle going on already.

Okay, I'm going to reserve judgement for when I ride it, since I think it's impossible to judge a ride by looks and POV's alone.
