Station Music

You know, I was going to reply again to this thread by flaming out westside7th. I've restrained myself.

Just because its a faceless crime doesn't mean its harmless. The bible says that thou shalt not steal.. US Law says that one shall not steal. Morals say that people should not steal.

ALSO, I don't know if you've been watching the news lately or not, but they're starting to go after people on Kazaa. People who use these networks make me sick

DOUBLE ALSO, I can show anyone who comes over the original box, CD or receipt for every piece of software on my computer. I do not steal, and I wish others wouldnt. I have heard every justification in the book, but when it comes down to it, software prices are very high because jerkoffs like you rip off software. Thats really all it is. People like jeff aren't paid as well, either. I think it is absolute crap.

Sometimes society disgusts me. Blarg.

BTW: I didn't mean to be offensive to everyone, I just get a little angry when people rip off companies like that.

So if I find this MF Music is that stealing? Or is that a public domain type song?

Is it on a CD somewhere out there? I don't wanna rip no one off.

What's the artist's name. I wanna get the song on kazaa.

Alright, THERE IS NO ARTIST!!! As someone said in an identical thread a long time ago, it was probably produced by live entertainment. I have the same one that plays in the station, I just typed Millennium Force into WinMX a long time ago.

Since kazaa is still running smoothly despite what the new says, obviously their operation is legal so it isn't stealing. They have just found a loophole to get away with what you think is stealing. Apparently it isn't b/c kazaa is still running strong as well as a countless number of other programs just like it. If it was illegal, somebaody would have shut it down a long time ago.

No, stupid. If you use software you didn't pay for, it's stealing. The legal question is if a P2P network like Kazaa can be held liable for acting as a party in the theft. And guess what, survey says they can be. Keep up on the news.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

I treied to find it on P2P and came up with the GTTP version every time.
Oh,
almost forgot. MF&WTer would you be willing to share your version with me? And I appologize for the repeated post. I am newer here so I didn't know that it was a conversation in the past.
Im glad that Kazaa is here. The music industry has been ripping people off for so long. THey deserve to be ripped off. Software is different. I dont DL software. But as for music, I DL a lot of it.
I have found that no one seems to have that music that is on any of the P2P's, so I guess that blows my theory that you can find everything on the net

In case you didn't know, Kazaa, like Martha Stewert is going down. They give you three warnings then they bill you or sew you. I have the artical if you would like to see it. They are taking action my friends mom got billed for stuff like that.I'm not going to lie, I've used stuff like that before. I have even been one of the ones that said they would PAY for somthing like Napster. Furthermore, without programmers we would still be needing to write our own programs and useing the old punch-cards. Programmers are useusally not given a lot of respect, and I look down upon people who don't respect them. Think this; you wouldn't be useing this forum right now, unless you punched it out yourself on a card. The reason Kazaa hasen't been shut down was becuase, I'm sure, they were building thier case. So, don't think you'll get away with it for much longer. This has been mentioned I don't know how many times. And, if you'd SEARCH you'd know that wouldn't you? And you wonder why programmers are always irritable? It's probably becuase their fed up of users complaining and defaceing thier work... But, back on topic. The music Jeff has is hes own Acid remix, if I'm not mistaken. And I do believe Cedar Point had some company create that. Correct me if I'm wrong.Ok, I'm going to bed. Good Night!

P.S.: If you wish to check that artical out I mentioned earlier here it is.

Other than Jeff's MF Remix, I am proud to say I PAID for the 2 other station music songs I have on my computer. I don't like paying for software, and I would rather not, but being a student, I can get software very cheap. I would much rather pay a little bit of money and have the good karma of not stealing, than getting software or music for free, when its not too ethical, and very unreliable.

(One of the main reasons I buy my music now is the quality I can trust to be good. I use Apple's music store, and they have some good deals, as all songs are $0.99 + tax)

Kazaa hasn't shut down because its server is run by its users. Therefore, Kazaa, and any other software utilizing Kazaa's technology, can't and won't shut down unless every single one of its users quits using it.

It will take Mr. Gates to sort this one out.

What is "TORR"?

Yawn, while this is an interesting thread, most of the posts here have gone off track. . . I downloaded Jeff's version of the MF music awhile back and I loved it. Very well done! Jeff, email me your address so I can pay you the 50 cents you deserve.

TORR is a unit of measure for atmospheric pressure. Approximately 750 torr is normal.

Where did you get your songs Avalanche Sam?
