Station Coming Along

Looking at the animation video on CP website, it shows the flags as all red. I don't know what the wind conditions are like at CP today but I doubt those are 'real' flags.

Maybe they dont intend on painting the station. why woudlnt they have done it before it arrived on site like they did with the rest of TTD (track/supports)? anyone think they may leave it like it is?

The paint could easily get scuffed if the metal bumped up against something else. Touch up paint would make it look like crap if they didn't repaint a significant portion of the messed up area so why do it before it goes up when it has a chance to get scratched up? They didn't paint Millennium Force's station structure before their put it up either.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Plus they had to leave something for the Cedar Point painters to do in the offseason;)

Hmmm...they are putting portions of the roof on now. Not the overall structure, but the part that will keep your heads from getting wet. I could imagine once the actual construction work is finished then they will either paint/or test run...Whichever comes first.

Funny thing about what's going on. They are painting the station right now and yet, I don't see the paint getting anywhere near the flags. Guess they did know what they were doing!

as ThePoint said painting has begun and i for one like the yellow station. I think cedar point has finaly desided that theaming is the way forward.

the site in frount of web cam 2 is taking shape, is that as i beleve the photo booth. the ramp at the end of the track, is that a exit ramp or a disable enterence.

If I understood right you will unload on the bend, so thats most likely the exit.

If the bend is where you unload, how come they have the loading station covered with a roof, but not the unloading "station"?

Uh, that's because the queue runs through the unload station on the way to the load station.

Those poles that the flags are on have to be at least four or five feet long. You can't be that bad of a painter. :)
