Well, why 6 when 7 will do?

I cannot believe how small the people look up against those flags.

Not only is the ride going to be like nothing else, but the station's right up there with it.

If only I were there........

You know there's nothing good on TV when you're desperate enough to specifically look for infomercials.

You're missing the point David.. hehehe

Always one better... ;)

This is from [an old episode of] SNL's Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey:

Dodonpa, the world's fastest roller coaster, is set to open later this month in Japan. Unfortunately, only eight people in Japan are tall enough to ride it.

You know, I never put the flag thing together, either. It's funny, now. Cedar Point Rules! And, they know it!

Seems a little odd that they put those flags up and haven't even painted the steel yet (or plop a roof on for that matter).

Perhaps a decorative shrubbery display, with one half slightly higher than the other to get a split level effect and a little path down the middle.

I was thinking the same thing, The station supports are going to be yellow right?. its going to be harder for the to paint it with the flags without getting the flags painted as well.

WTC plan Approved. A structure that will stand 1,776 feet in the NYC skyline. It will be the tallest tower in the WORLD!!!

Heh although if they can build this monster, something tells me they will be able to paint without ruining the flags. ;)

Big D,

There is a little thing called tape.

And why does everyone think that the flags wont be able to come down? I can't believe they would weld flags, or somehow permanently attach them, to the station...my guess is the flags are in stands, and when they want to they can take them down or put them up whenever they want to.
That's weird SteelRider33. I don't see one post where anyone says anything about the flags being permanently attached. Unless you see posts that are invisible to me.

Yikes! I am dreading March 17th. . . who knows what will happen in the US/Iraq/world that day or immediately thereafter! That will be one freaky time. . . :(

Looks awesome.

It does seem odd that they are theming before they finish construction.

Seriously, Do you ppl take Intamin's workers for idiots? They will find a way to paint around the paint.

"Yellow,Yellow,Yellow,Yellow,Yellow,Green" AHHH

Not that there aren't any Intamin representatives on site, but they sure aren't the ones erecting the ride's structure. That would be the iron workers...

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Why does it matter if the flags are painted a bit? Who would really care? Only CP fans like us.
And thats funny Live Entertainment, I dont remember saying anyone posted that the flags were permanently attached.

It just seems like if people are complaining that they are going to make a mess on the flags when painting the station or working on the rest of the ride...
Examples:

*There is a little thing called tape.
*I was thinking the same thing, The station supports are going to be yellow right?. its going to be harder for the to paint it with the flags without getting the flags painted as well.

Maybe its just me but it sure sounds like people are thinking the flags are permanently attached.

So please, stop being bringing up things that have no relevance to the subject.

My guess is that sense the flags are above the structure that they will be painting, they wont get the paint on the flags. It looks to me like it would be kind of hard to do that. If I remember right, paint does not drip up!;)

My sincere apologies to you, steelrider33! Somehow, I mistakenly misconstrued your comment . . .

"And why does everyone think that the flags wont be able to come down?"

. . .to mean that you thought everyone thinks that the flags won't be able to come down.

I'll try to be more careful next time.
