On my application I put my starting date beginning of June, since I will be graduating from high school this year and school does not end until the very end of May. For my end date I put mid-July so that I can prepare myself for college, however now I think I will be able to work longer than mid-July. Does it hurt my chances of being hired if I say I can only start early June and work for about a month and a half to two months?
With availability that short, it might hurt your chances. You can always call HR and ask them to change the end date on your application if you think you can stay longer.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
...OR, and I'm not advising this, but it's an option. If you only plan on working at Cedar Point for one season, and don't care about getting blacklisted after this season, put your end date as sometime in October. The longer your availability betters your chance of getting hired.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
I came straight out of high school my first year, I went up there the day after I graduated. My original end date was August 17th or something like that (however, I was also doing weekends and I ended up staying up til labor day) They honestly probably wont want to hire someone who can only be there for a month and a half... But they are used to getting people who can only work up til a certain date, however that is typically in August.
Last year, my manager gave me the week before I went back to school off, and I really think thats about as much time as you need to prepare for school.

I plan on reapplying again so I definitely won't be doing that.. I should have also mentioned I live out of state from Ohio. I'll call HR and change my end date to end of July or so, thanks for the advice.
