Does Cedar Point still have Starlight Experience? Because I notice that on their map this year it wasn't listed.
Yes, they still have it but it isn't listed as its own thing. I think this was done just to sort of blend it into Luminosity without giving it its own identity.

Starlight has morphed to something closer to the Luminosity Midway (Main Midway).
As stated before the soundtrack, floats, bubbles, and (currently) fog are gone. The fog at the entrance is supposed to be working but the controllers are toast and will probably not get repaired this year.
The lights are still on (with some movement) but a lot of the color washes have been removed from Summer and placed in the Palace theater for their show. The ones remaining are now changing to random colors in something close to the beat of the park music.
I hope (and have no inside information about this) that it will be redone next year and not left to run down more than just this year.

Unfortunately it is time to pull the plug on Starlight Expierience. It was a great attraction when new, but CP has let it fall apart. I've walked through there about 5 times this year and each time there are fewer lights on. There are large gaps where there are no lights on. This past weekend I bet half of the lights were out. The floats are gone. The snow effect at Fort Sandusky is gone too. The attraction is an embarrasment now.
I hope the same fate is not in store for the new lighting on the main midway and the other new lighting installed over the last couple of years.
Starlight Experience technically has gone away already. It's not mentioned on maps and brochures any longer.
Personally I'm just enjoying what's left as a bonus to the new cavalcade of light and sound stretching to the front of the park.

I was wondering the same thing. As the other night I was walking through it and I would say maybe 30% was working.
Wonder if the success of the Luminosity and the additional lighting up front if they will update or rehab the lighting Frontier area.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did some work on it in this off-season, or possibly next.

Remember there is a new sheriff in town and so far he looks good.

There is one lonely and forgotten poster for the Starlight Experience on the side of Thunder Canyon Dry Goods closest Thunder Canyon's exit ramp.
"Thank the Phoenicians!"
It's easy to miss. I assume it was supposed to catch the eye of folks exiting Thunder Canyon.
"Thank the Phoenicians!"
I forgot to notice if the small blue neon signs for the Starlight Experience glasses are still up as well.
"Thank the Phoenicians!"
I wish they could have at least kept the original color scheme of the thing. The colors look really screwed up in parts, I don't know why they tampered with that aspect of it.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
Between the loss of Disaster Transport and the Starlight Experience where will park guests go to buy 3D glasses? Although if I recall correctly they dropped the 3D from Disaster a while ago.

I just got back from the point today, and while I was up there for the 4 days I stayed I walked down the Frontier Trail once at night and I was very disapointed on what I saw. About half of the lights were turned off(and the ones on had pretty much no motion at all!), the inflatables were gone and they also had the big flood lights on through out the trail which really took the feel that you used to have walking through there away. I say they should shut it down for the rest of the season, fix it during the offseason and reopen it again next year!
I love Cedar Point
