PT in '03 look for me at CP!
Area 3 Games, 2002
The weird guy from California
Raptor-there were so many great spiels to do!
"We're gonna take you up 137 drop you down 119, flip, turn, roll you over not once, not twice, but 6 times in four different ways at speeds reaching 60 mph. Sit up right, hang on tight and enjoy your big bad birdie flight here aboard the big, the bad, the bird, Raptor.
You are now strapped into an 8 ton 12 million dollar bird of prey.
Picture taking is not allowed on Raptor or any ride at Cedar Point. dont worry, we will take the picture for you.
At any time, you wish to stand during the ride, dont. There is nothing under your chair, but air.
Dragster may have all the speed, but Raptor has all that you need. (during my time, Millennium may have all the speed..)
You guys ready to fly??? Lets get this big bad birdie up to the sky in 3....2....1... fly, see you back in 2:32
Welcome back Raptor riders how was that flight? At this time you may unbuckle your safety belt by lifting up the back of the buckle. When the floor touches your toes and you hear that puff of air, lift up on your harnesses and exit to your right. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point, Americas rip rocking, high flyin' sky defyin, record breakin' roller coast! Stop over at Blue streak, they need some riders!"

Attention guests intending on riding Top Thrill Dragster. The approximate wait for Dragster is (__). Due to this long wait, we strongly recommend that you utilize the restroom and get any food or drink that you think you may need to sustain yourself prior to entering the line; because if you leave the line for any reason at all, you do forfeit your spot, and the only way back in is at the very end of the line. All loose articles like backpacks, purses, stuffed animals, Top Thrill Dragster souvenir cups, basketballs, basically, anything that does not physically belong on your person cannot come on this ride, and thus may not enter the line. There is no place to store these items in the station, and the rides dynamics do not allow you to carry them. Therefore, these items should be left in a locker, or with a non-rider. Also, glasses, both perscription and sunglasses, must be secured with a tight fitting strap around the back of the head, or placed inside a cargo pocket; that is a pocket that buttons, zippers, velcros, or snaps. These are your only two options for bringing glasses on this ride. If you do not have a strap, or a cargo pocket, and you do not want to leave your glasses in a locker or with a non-rider, you may purchase a strap here at the entrance for ($__). But again, you will not be allowed on this ride with glasses unless they are secured with a tight fitted strap around the back of the head, or placed in a cargo pocket; again that's a pocket that buttons, zippers, velcros, or snaps. Your regular front pant pocket will not work for these means because anything in your front pant pocket could be damaged by the restraint. And speaking of the restraint, we strongly recommend that everyone try out the test seat here at the entrance. We do have the smallest seats of any of the major coasters here in the park. The seat belt must fasten, and the lapbar must press firmly against the muscular part of your thigh. Also, the headrest must support the back of your head. If these requirements are not met, you will not be permitted to ride. Thank you, and enjoy your ride on Top Thrill Dragster.

I wonder if I am gonna be on the Discovery Channel soon.
Speedzonetl04, Don't even get me started on: SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY...Are you ready for speed? We've 120 miles per hour! Are you ready to get vertical? We've got 420 feet! Are you ready for the highest and fastest coaster in the world? Are you ready for Top Thrill Dragster!...When riding, remember to remain seated upright with your head, back, and shoulders against the seat back, facing forward, with your arms and legs inside the train at all times. Hold on to the grab bar until the ride comes to a complete stop....
While I'm thinking of it again, I'd like to take issue with the statement "highest" coaster in the world. Because, while Dragster may be the "tallest" coaster in the world, I can think of many coasters, like those at Elitch Gardens in Denver, that have foundations that are higher than the top of Dragster. (I don't know, maybe it's just the engineer in me)
I always felt so sorry for the employees that worked by the entrance and the bleachers because at least we got to rotate to positions where we couldn't hear the que music. Ahhh...no position better than Launch!
