Special Seats for larger riders?

The purpose of the belt in the first place is to make sure the restraint is down far enough to secure the rider. The belt designed as simply a back up device (on these types of rides at least). There's no good point, from a safety standpoint, in extending the belt if it doesn't let the restraint come down just as far...

That said, the "big boy" seats on some B&M's works because it isnt changing the number of clicks, its simply redirecting the belt to the sides of that little "knob" on the front of the OTSR's which allows for a little more room to get that third click.

As for the standup B&M's, Id like to see a belt that has the actual buckle on the "seat" instead of on the OTSR, but I see a few reasons why they wouldnt.

Ooh, my real name is Catherine and fitting into CP seats had been a concern for me earlier this season. I did a double-take just now, reading this thread at the beginning! lol

Just got this message back from Cedar Point...

For safety reasons and per manufacturer’s instructions, we do not have seat belt extensions. The lap bar must lock and the seat belt must fasten. The seatbelts are an additional safety precaution to ensure that the harnesses or lapbars are lowered to the proper position to safely restrain each guest during the dynamics of the ride.
