Sparty's Recap of Media Day..
What a great day Peeps! WT is a wonderful addition to the park and a nice compliment to CP's other 14 coasters..The Setting she sits in is so sweet with the Lake waves crashing while you wait in line..Just a Awesome scene all together..The twisting back Spike is a much improved addition to its predecessor over at SFWOA..Very Nice Job Intamin!
Rise and Shine and wake the rooster while were at! Day started at 4am for the wife and I...We met Dan and His GF Maria and His Bro Brian in the hotel Lot and off we went..CP at 5am with WT in the Dark Sky lit up was a welcoming like no other I've had folks! Incredible to finally see her finished compared to the construction we saw a few months back..All the dust and building materials everywhere has been transformed into a really nice setting.
We were on the 2nd train out in the morning at 5:20am (certain Magnum Freak here had to have the 1st train to himself for some interview;)) But the wait was worth it...Sat in 7-3 for our 1st ride and all I have to say folks is the back is where its at! You'll RARELY see me near the front ever as long as that back is open..The airtime you feel on that backward spike is just pure INSANE! I won't even begin to describe it any better than the rest of the TR's on here have but it was NICE!
I've done enough interviews to last me a lifetime and it was a hoot..Maybe some of you out there saw us? I like Dan would love a copy of the Blade from tommorrow if anyone can help a Sparty in Michigan or the spot Brian and I did on Ch5 in cleveland early in the Morn! I also done a spot for Ch12 WJRT in Flint near my hometown which was nice for the hometwon fans back home!
I really want to thank Bryan, Robin, and Janice for a Great day on point...Great Job guys! You treat us so well and its greatly appreciated gang!
As usual it was a blast to hang with Dan, Brian, Jeff, Hoop, Jo, Shorty, Walt, Dave, Matt, Tony, and man who am I forgetting?? Anyways what a great day with you guys!
Peeps, theres SEVERAL ways to experience this ride and I found many ways on all 20 laps! Its not a ride you can really Marathon on in my opinion..(just ask Dan;)), but My one suggestion is to take it all in and enjoy because its over before ya know it!
DId I say the backwards spike is INSANE in the Back!! :)
