Number 1 And Only Cedar Point.

And, moderators, don't mistake this for a "Cedar Point has a huge space problem" thread. I'm kinda curious to where they'd put a couple new coasters as well.

Well, most of the recent speculation has included the Oceana Stadium area, and somewhere behind Mean Streak. I guess they could drop one on us just about anywhere though, depending on the size and the type of coaster.

just look what they did when raptor was built.it goes over the midway and around existing structures.so I think anything is possible

Well, with the addition of Lighthouse Point this season we know a coaster is not going in behind Mean Streak.

If I had to theorize, I'd say either Oceana or parking lot by DT.

"And, moderators, don't mistake this for a "Cedar Point has a huge space problem" thread."....

If you read Jeff's reply to the other topic called Cedar Point getting a Ta2K or whatever you would know that maybe you don't need repeating threads...even if it doesn't say SPACE PROBLEM.
I think Jeff needs to review the rules again with everyone....

**says Matt whose day was going fine until he read three stupid topics on the same forum*******

Location 1:
L-shaped space from Giant Wheel to Oceana to behind Pagoda. The stadium is out, the playground and midway are low traffic.

Location 2:
The huge area along the south lagoon from Millennium Force down to Snake River.

Location 3:
Anyplace around White Water Landing.

Location 4:
Parking lot space near Space Spiral.

Location 5:
Gold dorms.

Location 6:
Cedars dorms.

Location 7:
Various spaces on the lagoon islands.

Location 8:
An area from Camp Snoopy all the way down to Corkscrew.

Location 9:
Picnic pavilions at the front of the park. I've never seen these 100% booked.

Is that a good enough start for you?

So, 9 more projects and then CP will have a space problem ;)

I like Location 2.

I personally don't see a problem with the question., and could result in a good debate about Future CP coasters and their respective locations.

I also saw 2 area's that I never thought of before, Location 8 and Location 4.

Location 8 would be a nice place for a wooden out and back, sweeping along the side of the Lagoon, perhaps entering the woods near Iron Dragon.
I don't know about location 4. It would seem kind Of Six Flags World of Adventure-ish to just plop a coaster in the parking lot with little regard to the site.

I would like to see more coaster's use the natural landscape. To bad the terrain isn't hilly enough to have a Boulder-dash type coaster :(

I'm sure there are even more location's that will be thought of, so by 2018 we will have nine more.

Only problem I see with the Spiral parking area is that mainly used for employee parking. The spiral gate is located right there and it's easier for them to leave the park there.

** remembering the nights I had to leave through Spiral because I was helping people clean up and then realized it was 3am **

I think Jeff has them covered. I'm glad someone finally answered this question. We sure grip about it enough but never specify locations. Two more I thought of. 1) where the Convention Center stands down to the Corkscrew. Is this buiding ever used that much? 2) Along the beach in the parking lot. Wouldn't a Shivering Timbers look good there? And who knows where else they can fit one in. Look at the space Mantis fits in. Who would have thought of that?

CPcyclone

Your right net...Shivering Timbers would look GREAT along the parking lot...it would definately capture the general public's attention

Joe E.

Is that area wide enough to fit a coaster? If it is it would look good, if those people in the last house don't complain.

I don't know about cutting into the lot in General, or cars will not only be parking on the grass all the time, but under the coasters.

HELLO!!! People Cedar Point has so much land they could probably put in a lot more then 2 in 2002!!! Anyways I made this topic up before and I got yelled at!!! So if we all can learn that CP is huge and has plenty of room then someone is sure to close this very soon!!!!
+0

CP_bound

Yeah, Chris, I was going to mention the same thing.

Canadian Guy

CP doesnt have a space problem, but i think they will have a problem of conserving trees in the future..!!

a lot of space is taken up from trees.

I think they should keep it like that, because if the whole island is just concrete steel and wood! yowza! Trees make a place look so much nicer.
Each *new* locale will have trees taken out, esp. around MF...

that would suck

-Canadian Guy

p.s. guess what the tallest Rollercoaster is in canada?

125 feet.... uggg...
