Yeah, I also remember the Dixie Chicks techno violin thing and Gloria Estefan's "Come on baby, shake it baby, do that conga" song. Yeah, I remember all of them. I would sing them at entrance before my promotion.
Nothing was worse than my first year when, for the first three weeks, they played a soundtrack of marches including "Under the Double Eagle", "The Gallant Seventh", "Overture to Candide" and, the worst, "The Colonel Bogey March"
They also occasionally put on a soundtrack with Paula Abdul and New Kids. ("Opposites Attract" and "Step by Step" respectively--I would always wail on Joey's high part and everyone would look at me like I was a leper.)
This kiss, this ki-iss, this time around (puke at Hanson) I kind of liked the songs starting with this.
Everytime I heard the remix to Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" during the Summer Spectacular, I would imagine Freddie Mercury turning over in his urn.
I still love "Larger than Life"
And, someone mentioned that God-forsaken saxaphone song. See, when I hear a little saxaphone, I don't want to rock, rock, rock or roll, roll, roll.
They played this song in 2000 that is always my pick for worst. "Pick-up-a-the-phone, I know you're home. It rang once (bam), twice (bam bam), three times (fake phone ring)"
I need to throw back a bottle of beer now (riot!)
Or perhaps I should give my life to you, but only because you are so smooth.
I really do miss the music.
Dan, your a sick man. But I love you anyway.

That individual was me. "Loathe" does not even begin to describe how I feel about that song, which is the epitome of obnoxiousness... Isn't it funny how the songs you detest are always the ones you get to hear as you're walking through the park?
