It is a slightly edited call of the 2002 Belmont where Sarava won as a long-shot at 70:1 odds. It was the highest attended Belmont with over 102,000 in attendance.

That CAN'T be the old track I was thinking of, as IT had been playing since at least the early 1970's...
I was not aware that this track had ever played prior to this season.

I was there yesterday and I don't remember hearing this particular track before but it was nice to have a race announcement back instead of the music.
It really is the track used prior to the song... It was resurrected from its dusty storage bin and the CD was played off and put in the ride. Management had requested this. There was concern that this track was lost as well as the old old one. But, discovered, and put back in the ride.
