GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS 2004
"Top Thrill Dragster" the fastest and highest Roller Coaster in the world opened on May 1, 2003 in Cedar Point, Sandusky, USA
The ride accelerates the trains to a top speed of 200 km / h (124 mph) in four seconds before climbing the 128 m (420 ft) tower section. The train will race through a twisting section during climbing that will twist the train 90 degrees before the top hill section. Once the train has passed the 90 degrees top hill section, it will drop to a vertical twisting section that will twist the train 270 degrees before racing back to the station.
What I don't get is it says its top speed is 124. Why do they have it 124 and have it say 120. I have seen it hit many times 122 and 124 but did they change the speed on it?
First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15
Or maybe it's a typo, who knows?

Even so, I think that Guinness should post the record as the advertised speed...
Guiness posts the record as it was the day they came to measure it....so if you say you can lift 1,000 pounds, and the day they are there you happen to lift 1,001 pounds because thats what they measure, then the record goes as 1,001. It doesn't go in as 1,000 because thats what you advertised as being able to lift.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
So when they were testing it it probably went 124 mph and that is the fastest a roller coaster has ever gone. Why would they even bother to come to the park ? they have to give the fastest speed. Do u get it yet TTD went 124 MPH the day they were there and thay took the best and gave them the record.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Sounds interesting, but it's not my cup of tea.
I wonder what position riders assume for that particular thrill.
