Some more housing questions.

This will be my first year working at Cedar Point and I have some questions about housing. I want some input from people who have worked here before.

Is Cedars the only mens dorms on point?
Is it easy to get a ride to work if you live off point? Is taking the bus a hassle?
Where do most of the people live?
Can you drink on point?
Are there a lot of parties off point?
If I process on June 13th, what kind of options will I have to choose from?

I will probably have some follow up questions to these :P
Thanks :)

Cedars is the only mens dorm on point, and its not very nice to be honest. If you live off point its definitely really easy to get a ride to/from work. I didn't have a car last year and took the bus or got rides with friends to/from work every day and had no problem. The only times you'll have any problems with the bus is when there's a parking ban which means everyone has to take the bus. Most people definitely live in Commons. On point dorms are where a lot of the internationals live. As for drinking on point, I never lived on point so I didn't attempt to drink there but I'd assume you could. There's always somethign going on in Commons parties-wise but they're not really big parties they're more just crew/friend parties. There's always Louie's and Lymen's off point also. It's definitely a lot more dififcult to get to the clubs if you live on point. But who knows, there might not even be Louie's next year. If you process in on June 13th everything should still be available except maybe the Commons apartments and Bayside.

Is Cedars the only mens dorms on point?

yes, but go with commons! Don't go for Cedars-trust me on this! I'm a girl, but you don't want to live in Cedars if there are any rooms in commons (which there will be)

Is it easy to get a ride to work if you live off point? Is taking the bus a hassle?

It is super easy. There are 3 busses that run on-point from early before park open (first possible work shift) til way after close (after the last work shift ends)

Where do most of the people live?

Most people live in Commons
Can you drink on point?

Yes-but there are rules. You have to be 21 (thats a given) and you can only have 1 6 pack of malt beverage or beer in your room at 1 time-this is per person who is 21 in the room.

Are there a lot of parties off point?

Yes and no. Depends if you have friends who don't live in employee housing. Louie's will be open for this last season as Louie's then is being renovated to "Pigpen Sports Bar and Grille"

If I process on June 13th, what kind of options will I have to choose from?

You'll have commons and possibly cedars. Commons is your best choice!

Message me if you have any other questions-I'm a year round employee and would be glad to help! It's easier to message me on facebook so message me if you want that info!
