Whoever did the complaining about the people who supposedly brought their own drinks in we saw those people and you are lying about them being obnoxious and loud. I didn't see them get out of hand at all. And what about the ones who bring in liquor disguised as pop . Some people on here need to mind their own business.
While I agree people need to mind their own business, I also believe that outside food AND drink is prohibited. Besides, how are we supposed to know the difference between alcohol mixed with pop, and cans of Busch being hidden in a beach bag when CP doesn't even sell cans of Busch inside the parks.
It sounds to me like someone on here is a member of the loud obnoxious group who brings their own alcohol to soak city every weekend.
Outside food and drink is prohibited, however, individual, unopened water bottles, as well as special diet/need items, may be brought into the park.

Yeah! See? They got away with it, why can't I get away with it!?!
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
Aren't you already part of an argument on this subject in the other thread?
I predict you're going to be asked not to generate new threads just to make yourself heard.
I'm sorry but did I miss something?

This is true, but why do you care?

There is no loud and obnoxious group at Bubbles, this was a fictitious, fabricated story. There are a lot of regulars there and they all just chat appropriately in a group.
As far as an employee knowing some, so what, there is no secret conspiracy. One of the CPPD officers is also friendly with some in the group, I suppose the cops are in on this also? The original poster in the other thread just seems to have sour grapes about something and is trying to spoil a nice time for some decent people.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
And to think, all of these years I should have been taking my own liquor into bars rather than buying drinks from them. I will have to try doing that. I'm sure the bar owners won't mind it, at all.
I'm not sure how Ohio deals with liquor licensing, but in Michigan, for a bar to permanently sell liquor on their patios, I was told by a bar owner that the patio license costs almost as much as the one for the bar.
Up here, if you attempt to bring your own drinks in, you are promptly escorted out.

Of course the bar owners would mind. The more interesting question is why you care so much (and no, a few people sneaking booze into the park isn't going to materially affect their bottom line in any way that you'd notice).

I'm not understanding where you're getting at with this, considering I never said outside food and beverage bother me. It's just a straight fact that outside food and drinks are prohibited, and I'm stating the fact in order to justify that the group going to SC who are bringing their outside drinks know what they're doing is wrong.
I care because I tend bar on occasion. Bartenders don't make tips off of losers who are smuggling drinks into the places where these bartenders work.
If a manager who earns a salary is allowing guests to bring in outside beverages, she is keeping her crew of tipped wage employees from making more money. Plus, those losers are taking up space that bar patrons might like to use. When I was there on Sunday, all of the lounge chairs were being used.
Now do you understand why I give a crap?

Nope. You still sound self-righteous and nosy about something that doesn't affect you in any way, shape, or form. What the Bubbles manager does or doesn't do, in the context of Bubbles' bartenders tips, is frankly none of your business.

It was the context of your post. We all know outside booze is prohibited, given that's the basis on which this entire thread was spawned. That context made it sound as if you were jumping on board with the righteous indignation crowd.
Apologies for the misunderstanding.

It has not been established that anyone is bringing booze into the bar, just one person who claims to have seen it every weekend. She must be a regular herself to supposedly see that every weekend. Perhaps she did it and was caught and now has an axe to grind? In any case, I've sat at the bar with some of the regulars when multiple drinks were purchased from the bar, so right off the bat her story is wrong.

Some of ya'll seem to talk out of both sides of your mouth. It's not okay to share a fastlane wristband but it's okay to bring your own booze and mind your own business?
Forget checking bags, that's really too invasive and I don't think CP should go there. If it's seen poured in front of employees then they should address it.
